Daryl ran to his bike as soon as he could no longer see tail lights. Rick was on his tail.
"What are you doing, Daryl?"
"I'm goin to get her back."
He straddled his bike and revved the engine. Abraham and Michonne came running over to help Rick.
"Not like this, Daryl, she gave us a chance you going in angry is not smart, your words remember; it gets you killed."
"The more time I waste here, the more time he has with her, and I can't let that happen. I promised her I wouldn't let anythin happen to her."
"Okay, I get it, but let's make a plan first, then go in."
Daryl thought for a moment.
"I'm listening but make it fast."
Rick let out a sigh of relief.
"Okay, let's talk."
I sat up and could see someone standing on a small hill. As I got closer, Negan turned and shoved me back.
"Oh no, Peach, you're staying right here."
Then the room went dark. I had to get out what if it was Daryl I needed to know. I paced the room until the door opened again.
"Awe.. Daryl should have known you were the one who helped her by the way she placed herself in front of you back at Alexandria. She's really protective of you for obvious reasons."
Negan sucked his tongue back. His hatred grew stronger now that he had thoughts of how I gave myself to Daryl so easily.
"Where is she?" Daryl's voice was rough, and anger burned in his words.
"She's a little tied up right now."
Negan kept his signature smile as he spoke.
Daryl held a gun pointed at Negan's face. He was done playing games.
"Where is she? Go get her now!"
Negan nodded to one of the men.
"Okay, just a warning. You won't be happy with how she looks," he smirked.
"What did you do?" Daryl fumed with images of what ifs, and Negan's smile confirmed his thoughts.
"Not my fault you see her definition of willing differs from mine, so I had to make some adjustments to our deal. Can't blame me." Negan threw his hands up in the air.
I was pulled out of my cell and dragged across the yard. I fell at Negan's feet, coughing up blood onto his boots. He grabbed the back of my hair, "Look, who's here? Lover boy came for you."
I could see Daryl's face grow dim when he saw my bloody face and ripped shirt. His blood boiled, still trying to figure out all Negan had done to me while I was here.
Gun shots sounded off in the distance.
Negan looked around, "Not alone, I see. You know I should have killed you when I had the chance." Negan stood waiting for a response.
"Whatcha gonna do, Daryl?"
There was a pause, and Daryl lunged for Negan. He wanted to kill him with his hands. A gun wouldn't do him justice. The other man held me down laughing. Everything seemed to go on slow-motion gun shots, and screaming is all I could hear. I tried to fight the man off to help, Daryl. They were in a struggle, and Daryl had the upper hand until he saw the man throw me down and climb on top of me. That's when Negan took his chance and knocked Daryl to his knees.
"NO," I screamed.
Negan grabbed Lucille and raised her up over his head.
"Please...please...," I begged him to stop. I couldn't imagine losing Daryl. My mind went blank. I couldn't watch him die.
Negan looked over at me with a smile of great pleasure. I looked at Daryl he was still out of it. "DARYL," I screamed until my voice went hoarse.
Then, an arrow shot through the air into Negan's chest. He stumbled back and then went down, dropping Lucille by my head. The man on top of me was in shock, and I took my chance to kick him off. As I watched him run off, I could see another man with a crossbow it was, Dwight. I looked back at Daryl he was up on his knees, staring at Negan's lifeless body. I got up and ran to him, almost knocking him over again. He was in shock, but soon I felt his warm embrace, and he didn't let go.
When we got up, I could see Abraham in all his glory, and then the others came over. They had fought off most of the saviors. This small but powerful group had done the impossible. Rick looked over Negan's body and pulled the arrow out of his chest.
"This looks like one of yours, Daryl."
I was puzzled. I didn't know Daryl had a crossbow.
"Dwight shot him."
Rick looked around, but Dwight was already gone.
"Why would he do that?"
I knew why he did it.. he had said at one time Negan had gone too far." It didn't matter, Negan's time was over, and we were free; at least from the saviors.
We began to head back home. There was a sense of relief now that Negan was no longer a threat, but now was the question who would take his place?
