This can't be happening, but no matter how much I pushed this situation, I knew it would come, and now it was here. As soon as I saw Negan, I couldn't hide and let these people lose someone because of me. I said it in the beginning that I wouldn't be responsible for the death of others. I had to help them even if it meant my own death.

"Negan, we gave you your half today. What are you doing here?"

Memories came flooding back to Rick when they were lined up in front of Negan on that cold, fateful night. He couldn't let him run the show this time, especially with Judith and the others being so close.

Negan paced the group looking at each member. He stopped at Daryl, "Hello, Daryl, good to see you."

Negan's smile grew deep as he paused, waiting for Daryl to acknowledge him. Daryl held his ground, saying nothing. Negan became irritated with Daryl's lack of respect.

"You know you should thank me, Daryl."

"Yeah? How's that?" Daryl glared Negan down.

I watched as Daryl and Negan exchanged words. I couldn't hear what was being said, but I knew Daryl had a past with Negan, and he could be taken again.

"You can't be serious?" Negan paused for Daryl to answer. "Come on, you really don't know why?"

"Okay, can we please move on?" Rick interrupted as he was tired of the games.

Negan put his finger to his lips, "Hush, Rick, let the big boys talk. So, Daryl, do you want to try again? Or do I just need to spell it out for you?"

Daryl stood, not moving or saying a word.

Negan shook his head, "Wow, okay, you should thank me for letting you have your freedom. There it is, is the cat's out of the bag. Well, Daryl, I'm listening." Negan cupped his ear and leaned into Daryl.

"I ain't gonna thank ya for anything."

Negan smirked, "Yeah, you are an ungrateful son of a bitch, aren't you?"

Negan clicked his tongue staring at, Daryl.

He then turned back to Rick, "Back to the matter at hand. Rick, the reason for this late night visit is I'm missing something and we have looked everywhere but here."

Rick already knew what he was looking for, he also knew I was right Negan wouldn't give up until I was dead. The promise he had made to Daryl came to mind as well. He had to keep me safe.

"Not sure what you lost but I assure you it's not here."

Negan gave Rick a grin, "Now, I just don't believe that, Rick. Sorry, but I strongly feel that you have something that belongs to me."

Daryl's rage was boiling and Rick prayed that he could keep it under control.

"We didn't take anything from you, so you can take your men and go home."

Negan didn't take kindly to being told to leave. He walked up and down the line not receiving Rick's suggestion.

"Now this thing is a person, about 5'4, a buck twenty....he paused and smiled... a woman to be exact and her name is, Leah."

Daryl flinched at the mention of my name. It took a long time for me to tell Daryl everything that had happened during my time with Negan, when I finally did he was sick. Knowing what this man did to me made it hard for him to stay quiet.

Negan got in Ricks face, "Now I know you don't want me and my men going house to house."

He was right Rick didn't want that but he couldn't give me up either, he promised . There was a long unsettling pause.
