Negan sat in his room, thinking of the one woman that took his mind. He couldn't stop thinking that he had made a mistake sending me off with the other women. Even the harem that he had didn't satisfy him anymore. It was all too easy with them. There was no challenge. He let me get the best of him. I got into his every thought, heart, and soul. It ate at him day and night. The confusion of what had happened my last days at the sanctuary messed with his head. He couldn't figure out why he was so obsessed with my absence.
His men began to notice his lack of interest in the daily duties of collecting from the other groups. Dwight took over as Negan withdrew himself from the group. He was a born leader, and the men began to respect him. Simon tried to take over but had to fall in line when the other men made him back down. He had to get Negan back and soon.
He made his way up to Negan's room. Negan sat back on his couch with his feet kicked up on a table.
"Boss."
Negan stared off into space.
Again, Simon tried to bring him back, "Boss."
Negan looked up, "What?"
"Are you going to come down today?"
Negan paused, staring blankly at Simon.
"I need her back."
Simon cocked his head, "Who, boss."
Negan looked at Simon, "Leah."
Simon narrowed his eyes, "She's dead."
Negan jumped up, making Simon step back, "I don't care. I want her back. Send a group out to the trees."
Simon became irritated, "Come on, it's a waste of time. She's dead and no good to you. You have more women downstairs. Dwight's taken over. You need to get it together and take the reigns back."
Negan grabbed Simon's shirt, "I don't care if she's dead or undead. I want her back here, got it. None of those women are her. I'll go down today, but you find her now."
Simon nodded his head and then gathered his search party. As the group drove out to the trees where they had left us, I was recovering in Alexandria.
When they arrived, the women had all turned some and were still tied to the trees. My group had all been killed by Rick and Daryl. Simon picked up the rope that had been cut and checked all the bodies. I was nowhere to be found in the group, and Simon came to the realization that I had been saved.
He waved the group back to the sanctuary to give Negan the news.
Negan watched as the van pulled in and came to Simon.
"So, where is she? Did you find her?"
Simon stepped out of the van, "She's gone, boss."
"Yeah, I know she's gone, but is she gone, gone, or just gone?"
Simon bowed his head down, "No, she's neither."
Negan became angry, "What the hell are you saying?"
"Someone cut the rope, I think she was taken."
Negan stepped back and then slammed his fist into the van.
"Who in the hell took her?"
"I don't know."
Negan pushed Simon back, "Find out."
He walked off, grabbing Lucille.
Simon sent out several search parties into the woods looking for me.
Negan wanted me to be alive, dead, or undead. The thought of me with another group enraged him. He ordered all groups checked.Alexandria was the last place he thought I would be during the search. It was too far he thought for Rick or his group to venture out. The saviors tore through the Kingdom, Hilltop, and a few other groups. He was getting frustrated with his men not being able to find me.
The saviors began to complain to Dwight about the new mission. It bothered Dwight that Negan was going this far but was afraid that he would find me. He was content that I had been saved by others and hoped that I would stay missing. Soon, the hunt surrounded the forest and continued for months.
