School's Fun Game

There is a game at school
It's a game that everyone is allowed to join
One that has unspoken rules
That is easy to follow,
This game is not known to the adults
That works in its environment
Which makes it easier to hide from them
They still don't have a clue,
The rules in the game are these:
Have very high grades in class that shouldn't be easy to catch up to,
Make sure that you are like by everyone that knows you or don't,
But the most important rule is
DO NOT BE YOUR TRUE SELF,
Even if you have to lie
To hate
To hurt yourself or others
To cheat
To cut your skin
To fight your own family
To do drugs
To break the law
To basically lose your path of a good life,
That doesn't seem like a lot right?
I mean your social status is more important
Than your happiness right?
And it doesn't seem like a lot of work
To ruin your own life
Just for approval from the ones in school,
Sure in the future you end up making your life worse
And it's not like they won't care for you in the future
Or in the present for that matter
But it seems like a fun game
It's a fun game because
Everyone around you is doing it too
So it means that it must be a lot of fun
Since almost all of them
Join in the game
What is your answer?
Have you decide to get in
Trust me it's not that hard
It's rather simple really,
Just look at me
I had a very bright future ahead of me
I had a good chance at the college of my dreams
A chance to get the job that I always wanted
A chance to married my lover and have have my own family
To have a good life set out for me,
But I decide that having a social status
Was more important than that
So I left that path
And went down hill from there
By doing drugs and skipping school
Fighting and leaving my family
Hurting myself and the people around me,
Now I'm a drop out from high school
The job I have is horrible to work in
My family disown me
And my lover left me
At least I have a child
But I don't even know who the other parent is,
That's the after results of me playing
That game in school,
It was worth it though
I was like by those strangers in school
At least for a while,
My grades were hard to beat
At least until I started skipping,
So I'm telling you
That you should,
Absolutely should,
Play the school's fun game

One, sorry for not updating for a long while, but then again it is summer vacation non stop for me (I'm not a fan of vacations, but one of them I enjoyed)
Two, I have a second poetry book called 'The good side of things' that I have enter in the wattys competition, this one is more focus on positive things in anything
Three, the poem that had just written is what came into my mind, it wasn't cause by anything. Still if I accidentally hurt anyone with any of the works I done than, I'm really really sorry.
And four, I've decide that the acrostic poems idea is too hard for me, so I am discontinuing it. I once again apologize for the people that wanted it to happen.
