The sunlight that poured in from my windows, woke me up. Forcing my weak and tired body out of bed, I went to take a nice, long hot shower, then I got ready.
I double checked my whole room for my stuff. It was all packed in my magic bag, but my room just looked depressing. It was so empty. Anyways, when I stopped staring at my empty room, I headed out to breakfast with the rest of the demigods.
I grabbed a banana nut muffin and a bottle of apple juice. Looking around I saw Percy and Annabeth sitting at a table. I avoided them, instead, I went to go check on Danny. Walking over to Zeus' cabin, I knocked on the door. My heart was beating a little fast, hoping that Jason wouldn't answer. I felt bad having to drag all of my new friends on a quest. The door knob jiggled open, revealing Jason. Great, I'm sure that he hates me. Instead he gave me a hug. "Thank you for what you have done, Danny told me what you did." He started. When he let me go, he looked into my eyes. "I'm honored to join you on this quest." He said. I guess he didn't hate me then. Danny appeared from behind the door. "Hey, how was your 1st day back to the living?" I asked. "Wonderful." She said. "I have a question for either one of you I guess." I said. They looked at me, giving me their full attention. "Since, Jason, you are the son of Jupiter. Is Danny a daughter of Jupiter or Zeus?" I asked. Danny flashed me her perfect smile. "I'm also a daughter of Jupiter, you see, me and Jason are twins." She said. "Oh, thanks, that explains a lot actually." I replied.
After that Jason went to pack and get dressed for the trip. I walked back to my cabin, wanted to see Nico. I knocked on his door, waiting for an answer. "Come in." He said from behind the closed door. Opening it, I had seen him packing. "Leona. Is there something that you need?" He asked. I sat on his bed. "Has there ever been a secret that you were told not to tell anyone because they wouldn't accept you? A secret that you wish to just scream out so it wouldn't weigh so much on your shoulders?" I asked. He looked back at me confused, I looked down at my lap. "Of course, except I've only told a few people and some of those people were on accident." He said. "I told you though. Remember, I'm gay." He said. "Oh yeah." I said. He moved next to me, taking my hand in his. "If there is anything that you need to get off your chest I'm here for you." He said.
Right there, I cried my eyes out. He embraced me, he had a cinnamon scent to him. "I've been lied to my whole life and now I'm lying to you and everyone." I said. He kept looking at me with concerning eyes. "My name isn't Leona for starters. It's Ophelia." I said. "That's a beautiful name." He assured with a soothing tone. "I have been living in the under world since I was born. Growing up, Hades always told me that Persephone was my mother. Something about her having a mortal egg, but she's not. I don't even know who my mother is. I have powers that I can't even control half the time. Hades told me that I was different from other demigods, but he won't tell me. That's why I'm so powerful. I'm stronger than his undead arm. I'm stronger that the Olympians combined into one and any Titan on earth. My life has been a lie from the beginning. I was so alone, I needed someone with me growing up. I told him that I wanted a sibling, a sibling who would care and love me. He always said that he couldn't have anymore children." I cried out to Nico. I moved away from him and ran out of his room, knowing that he would hate me now. I have lied to him since I came here. I slammed my door shut.
3 hours past by, there was a knock on my door. It opened to show Hazel. We're all ready, Leo's got Festus ready to go." She said before closing the door. I walked to my bathroom, wiping my eyes and blowing my noise before showing my face to everyone. I walked out of my room and out of the cabin as if nothing every happened.
I saw a giant metal ship. It looked like a cruise ship. "Come on Leona!" Frank yelled from the ship. I jumped in the air, landing on the 80 ft. ship. The top deck was huge. "How did you do that?" Frank asked. "I just did." I said as I walked to a door that lead to a hallway. Leo walked out of a room, "oh, Leona. Let me show you to your room." He said as he lead e further down the hallway. He showed me to a room, "okay, so you're next to Hazel and Annabeth." Leo said as he pointed to the left and right room, then pointing to the one in the middle. Telling me that that was my room. "Is this Festus?" I asked. "Yeah, on our last quest he got pretty damaged, so I gave him an upgrade. Before this and the last quest he was on, he was a dragon." Leo said before disappearing out of the hallway. I went into my room. It was a good size for a boat room. I laid in the bed, closing my eyes. I heard my door open from behind me. I turned around to see Nico. "I didn't tell anyone." He said as he sat by my feet. "I'm sorry, did Hades ever explain as to why he kept you in the underworld?" He asked. "He said that he didn't want me to get hurt because of this prophecy quest." I explained. He nodded his head as if he understood. "I don't hate you for lying. You didn't trust anyone yet. It's a good thing that you're out of the underworld because now you have me and friends." He said. I moved to a position to look at him. He flashed his glowing white smile at me. I jumped him with a hug. "Don't let me go." I said into his shoulder. "Never." He said.
After about an hour of staying in Nico's arms, " lunch time." Leo sang into the speaker. Nico and I laughed at Leo's goofiness then went to lunch.
When we got there, I sat next to Nico. "Lunch is exactly like the last Festus. Whatever you want you can have." Leo explained. "Chicken pot pie." Leo said to the air. A chicken pot pie appeared in front of him. "Spaghetti and meatballs." Frank said. "Salad." Annabeth said. "Corn dogs." Piper said. "Meatball sub." Percy said. "Steak." Jason said. "Hamburger." Hazel said. "Popcorn chicken." Nico said. "Ham." Tyson said. "Salad." Grover said. I wasn't hungry, I was more sea sick than anything. I got up from my seat and went to the bathroom. I puked for about 2 minutes. When I was done, I got a drink of water and went to the upper deck. The smell of the sea filled my noise with a perfect scent.
"Who am I?" I asked the beautiful ocean below me. "Ophelia?" A voice called. I turned around to see my father. "Go away." I said, then turning back around to face the ocean. "I've come to take you home." He said. I whipped back around to face him. "And why on earth do you think that I would go back to being alone and miserable?" I asked. He didn't answer. "You didn't even tell me who my real mother is." I stated. He looked into my eyes. "Her name is Scarlet." He said. Danny said to say that my mother was a woman named Scarlet and that she lived in San Diego, California. "What's her last name?" I asked. "I can't say." He quickly said. "Hey Leona!" Another voice called. Hades then disappeared into black mist.
Piper approached me. "Hey, you just disappeared at lunch. Was something wrong?" She asked. "Sea sick and I wasn't hungry." I said. She accepted my answer and left. I went back to my boat room. I laid in my bed with my eyes closed, ready for the total darkness to consume me.
