Click woke up. She was in the same room, but on the back wall. Her hands and feet were chained to the wall and she couldn't move.

She was thinking off escape plans but none came to mind. She contemplated screaming but came to a decision that the scientists would only get more pissed and hang her over a pot off fire, leaving her to a short, burning death. 'Better not', she thought to herself.

Just as she was thinking of other ways the scientists could kill her a slamming sound banged her ear drums.

"Ahaha", an evil cackle came afterwards, "Lookie where we end up". Click noticed the scientist.

"You won't be able to keep me here. The pack's smart".

"Ha, but not smart enough. Do you really reckon we would let them get you easily".

"What are you doing to them?", Click snarled back as she needed to know the truth.

"Let's just say -", Click cut the scientist off.

"You're not just going to say. You're gonna tell. Tell me the truth".

"Fine. They're wanted test subjects, Click. You and I both know that. For seconds, on the night we captured you, they broke millions of dollars worth of equipment".

"It was an emergency-"

"I'm not finished. They've killed and hurt hundreds of scientists. Now you may say your defence".

"They had to break all that equipment for our own protection. We had to hurt all those scientists for our own protection, too".

"Very well. Want me to continue?"

"Please do".

"We posted an article in the science news online mag zine, usually only scientists read it but we got an awful lot of reads on that particular article".

"What was in that article?".

"The article stated that we had captured one of the six dog kids".

"Can I read the article?"

"Sure". The scientist came and undid Click's chains and gave her the article. Click read the article twice comprehending every bit of it.

"Where are my pack now?", Click was tearing up as she asked this.

"We're not sure. They were spotted outside a library this afternoon but people lost them. Since then we haven't had any calls". Click felt her heart snap in her chest. She felt her salty tears run down her cheeks. The scientist held her to make feel comforted.

"Can I just ask one question?"

"Yes?"

"What's your name?"

"Chris Bowlet".

"Why are you being so nice to me? All the others want to carve up my insides for their experiments".

"Look, I'm on your side. I'll go get your dinner. I should introduce you to my son. He has dog DNA as well".

"Did you want that for him?"

"No. I've been working in the science domain basically my whole life. I told my boss my wife was pregnant and he offered me a promotion. I took it because we would need some more cash with the baby and all. It turns out I had to donate my baby boy to the research being done on DNA mixing. I've never forgiven my boss, so I'm on your side. Any way... I'll go get him and the food. Be back in five".

"OK. Well, don't rush". Chris left. Click let her eyes over flow with tears. She was annoyed at the scientists for taking Chris's son and changing him into a thing like her. She was annoyed at them for changing her and her pack. She was annoyed at what they said in the news article about her pack. She cried, and she cried hard. She wanted to see if Chris's son was getting procedures on him everyday. If he was, she wanted to kill Chris's boss. She wanted to kill every scientists who changed them by choice, not by force.
