First Date - Part I (chapter 15)

I greeted everyone and realised how grown up they all were. I showed them the way to the living room and told Cleo (unobtrusive) to go outside and let it all out since she was so jittery. She did so and as soon as I entered the living room, where the boys already were seeted, I heard a scream from outside. Everyone looked at me and Brad began to chuckle.

"Come on she was really not prepared for that! It's all too much for her. She is in her best fangirl age!" I laughed/ defended my sister. "Just act like you didn´t hear it!"

Cleo came in and Brad looked at her with a (too) serious face. "What did you - " he couldn't finish his sentence but broke out into laughter. "Oh Brad..." I groaned.

Cleo looked a bit embarrassed. But she was a strong girl, went to the emty seat next to Brad and carried on a normal conversation with him about his hair. I don't know but for some reason gils like her are fascinated by curls.

I didn't notice anything else after that because I couldn't avert my eyes from Con's face. I remembered every little detail and had to check if it was still there. I think he did the same because we were staring at each other until James interrupted us.

"Dude?" He waved in front of Connor's eyes. "We need to go now! But you can stay, then you guys don't have to have eye sex anymore and can do... well whatever."

I nodded so Connor knew that he had to stay and he did. We hugged everyone and went upstairs. I closed the door of my room behind us and looked into his eyes. They were happy and blue as normal. But I had to think about how his eyes probably were like, after my accident.

"I'm sorry" I whispered. 
"For what?" he asked and sat down next to me on my bed. He didn't look sad or something just happy. So I decided that he might want to forget all this and just kissed him. What counts is the here and now.  The kiss was indescribable. Let's keep it that way.

After that he looked up. "Amy! You don't have to feel sorry. It's just what happened. You couldn't do anything and I think that all was way harder for you. I had the lads and my and your family. They all helped me but I never came over it anyways. I'm just so lucky to have you here right now." He said and put an annoying strand of my hair behind my ear.

"I was mad at myself the whole time because I never asked you out." He said and looked me straight into the eyes (Not that he didn't do this the whole time before but I just wanted to mention that he did it in that moment more than ever).

"So will you go on a date with me?" He asked. "Of course!!" I squeked and kissed him. He smiled. "Thanks. Tomorrow is the day? This is gonna be our first date but I asked you to be my girlfriend 2 years ago that sounds so weird" He laughed.

"Yeah that´s because we are weird." I smiled and hugged him. Just because I wanted to do it that moment. For what do I have such a huggable boyfriend?

We decided to go to bed after that conversation, it was almost morning. I lay in his arms and enjoyed the Connor feeling when he started speaking.

"I know exactly what you felt like. Maybe not exactly because I only felt like this for a few minutes and you for two years. I don't want to even imagine how lonely you were. It breaks my heart to think about it Amy. But now I know you're here in my arms and I will never ever let you go again. You're save here."

"Con please! Don't worry I'm fine now. But what happened to you?" I drawed little hearts with my finger on his chest. He giggled. "Stop that it tickles."

"Well do you remember Brad's 18th birthday? The day I passed out?" He asked, now in a serious tone.

I sighed, "Yes." I remembered that day like it was yesterday. It was unbelievable. Why do I now remember everything but didn't the past two years?

"As I woke up, I couldn't remember anything for a few minutes." He sighed. "Honestly I first thought that pretty girl, that wore my shirt was my girlfriend but then I remembered that she was just my friend and realised how much I wanted you to be my girlfriend."

"I love you Amy and now we have to sleep."

"I love you too" I said and fell asleep in his arms.

- next morning, well midday -

"ahuiahui a hui ahuiahui a hui" That was a really weird sound and it came from... under my bed?

"Um Connor?" I cleared my throat. He muttered. "What is this?"

"What?" he asked and opened his eyes.

"ahuiahui a hui ahuiahui a hui"

"Oh this, that's my ring tone." He said and picked up his phone. It was Brad and he asked when Connor would come. Connor told him about our date and smiled the whole time he was talking about that. So cute. He hung up the phone and smiled at me.

"Anyway,  what was that? I mean normal people have songs or whatever as ring tone."  I asked him.

"My bearded dragon. Don´t you remember him?" He asked. "Yeah but he never sounded like that!"

"Yeah that was when he got a cold. I thought he was going to die so I recorded his noises to remember him. But he survived and I was so proud of him and it's my ring tone ever since." He giggled.

"You´re so weird. You know that?" 

"I do, but now it's time for our date." He took my hand and we went down the stairs.

"No breakfast?" I pouted.

"Nope, the date has all inclusive" He smirked and opened the front door for me. "Tell me where we're going!" 

"Oh that´s a little surprise," but before I could protest, he continued. "The surprise is that I´ll tell you this time. It´d be too cliché for us. We´re going to get our coffee at Starbucks first! I'll tell you the rest then."

"Sorry, but we can't go to Starbucks! I'll tell you later." I grinned up to his confused face.

"Are you grown or am I shrunk?" I asked. He laughed "I guess I'm grown. I did Tris' diet, you know, protein, carrots." 

"What?" 

"Watch our twitcams babe! You need to. You've missed so much!"

We found a little café and Connor ordered something. While we were eating, I told him about my Starbucks fear. I´ve never been entering one since I stopped working there. Too many bad memorys.

Sorry that this chapter is a bit short. I actually wanted to make it longer like the whole first date but I´m busy and didn´t want you to wait so long, so think positive there are now two more chapters coming instead of one and I´m thinking about writing an epilogue what do you think?

Maybe you´ve noticed, that I uploaded a chapter 2 days ago but I deleted it after like 10 minutes because I realised how stupid it was :3. So I changed a few things but it´s still that short and I don´t like to upload short chapters...
