London's P.O.V
On the bus ride home I remembered every first day of a new grade, I thought I would get a friend but everyone would tell the new kids something embarrassing about me or stuff about me that was not true at all, but my music calmed me down
"London nerd if falling down, falling down, falling down, London nerd is falling down, she is such a nerd" Sasha sang, she turned around in her seat and smiled at me
"Like my song?" Sasha asked then gave a small giggle, I took my headphones out and thought of something quick
"What?" I asked pretending I didn't hear her, but I actually did, Sasha stopped smiling and frowned
"Whatever" Sasha mumbled, she turned back around and I could tell she was not happy by the way she hit the seat with her back. After that I could only hear my 90's music for the rest of the ride. Sasha lived just out of town and her 10th grade best Friend Jessica lived in the same small town as me, so I only had to ignore Sasha half the ride. When I got home my mom was sweeping the house
"Nathan told me he got the job, so I bought a banner and I need you to hang it up" my mom is explained
"Sorry, I have homework" I lied and I started to go up stairs
"On the first day of school, I don't think so" my mom said 'busted' I thought and I dropped my backpack on the stairs. I helped hang the banner
"Nathan's home" mom yelled, as I heard Nathan come in the driveway, Nathan's car was old so it has a weird noise, so you can tell he was home, Nathan never got it fixed, the door opened and Nathan walked in then he shut the door.
"Theirs my boy who just got a job" my mom said in excitement, I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms
"Wow, mom calm down I don't start till a week" Nathan explained, I gave a sigh that was like a whisper
"Aren't you happy for your brother London?" My mom asked, I stood up straight and gave a smile
"Not really" I whispered
"What was that?" Mom asked
"I said I'm so happy for Nathan" I said smiling the whole time
"Listen to you sister Nathan, she's happy for you" mom said
"How was the first day of grade 12, little sis?" Nathan asked
"Good" I lied
"Make any new friends?" Nathan asked
"Not yet, I was too shy" I lied again
"Good, can we watch the soccer game?" Nathan asked, I let out a grunt and walked slowly up the stairs
"London your joining us" mom yelled
"But I don't want to watch men kick a ball around and get so happy when they put the ball in a net, also do fancy tricks that they don't need to do note, they do it for fun and the-" I started but didn't get to finish
"It's entertaining to watch" Nathan barked
"Now join us" mom added, I stomped down the stairs and into the living room
"Next time let me finish talking before you start talking" I said while jumping on the couch and watched the soccer game. Soccer made no sense you get stressed, tence, and angry because you want a team to win, and if your team doesn't win you want to brake something, trust me when the game ended Nathan punched and kicked the coffee table, but he never thought of the consequences of kicking and punching a metal table, I couldn't hold my laughter in, so I ended up laughing till I cried, but we had to go to the hospital because Nathan said his hand and foot hurt a lot. Nathan was fine he didn't brake of sprain anything.
