The alarm went off on a Tuesday morning and Avion ignored the annoying buzzing ringtone on her phone. Although Tuesday was a very exciting day for her, she hated the idea of getting out of bed in the mornings. The buzz stopped, and she deepened herself into her bed. But five minutes later the buzzing ringtone started up again. She opened one of her eyes and looked at the phone in anger.
-Avion: Ugh!
She yelled as she took the phone and dismissed the alarm. She laid on her back as she looked stared at the the ceiling. All that was on her mind was tonight's big party at Jessica's house. Jessica was a popular girl that everyone admired, so being at her party was like going to a Justin Bieber concert, if not to exaggerate too much. A big smile lit up her face as she swung herself out of bed. She walked over her closet to look for a suit of clothes to wear. She heard a knock on her door.
-Avion's mother: Honey?
-Avion: Yes mom I'm up.Her mother laughed.
-Avion's mother: OK dear. I don't want you to be late for school again. Get dressed and come downstairs.
-Avion: OK mom. I'll be down in a sec.Avion took out a yellow dress and a red sweater and dropped it on her bed. She looked at it with deep concentration and then gave her face a little smile. She took up the clothes and made her way to the bathroom. She tried the door but it was locked. She then heard a voice coming from inside the bathroom.
-Avion's brother (Andy): You know you could've knocked.
-Avion: Ugh! Can you please hurry up!
-Andy: I'm coming I'm coming geez. Don't get your panties in a bunch.Andy was Avion's little brother. He was a 16-year-old boy with short blond hair and brown eyes. He was slim-built and although the younger one, he was taller than Avion. He unlocked the bathroom and came out with a grey towel wrapped around his waist. His short blond hair was dripping water.
-Andy: There. You can go and live in the bathroom now.
-Avion: Thank you. (she replied with attitude)She pushed Andy out of the way as she walked into the bathroom.
. . .Moments later she came out of the bathroom dressed in the clothes she took out earlier. She went back into her room, grabbed hee phone and her bag and went downstairs.
-Andy: At last, Ms. "I think I'm pretty" finally came out of the bathroom. Took you long enough.
Avion rolled her eyes at Andy and took the stool next to him at the kitchen island.
-Avion's mother: Anderson, leave your sister alone.
Andy smiled at his mother as he took another bite out of the ham sandwich that he was eating. Avion took the box of Cheerios that was next to her bowl and threw some into it. Andy looked at her and let out a small giggle.
-Avion: What is so funny?
She asked as she got up and made her way to the fridge.
-Andy: Nothing nothing nothing.
When she opened the fridge, she realised that the carton of milk was empty.
-Avion: Are you serious?! Mom! Andy finished the last of the milk and placed the empty box back into the fridge. Now what am I suppose to eat?
