Danger

Taylor and Jason were still shocked from the news.

-Cassie: I felt it when I shook her hand.
-Taylor: That's why you were acting all weird.
-Cassie: Yeah. Remember when she said that her mother died and her brother disappeared?

Taylor nodded.

-Jason: Wait what? She lost her mother?!
-Taylor: Yeah, three months ago. And her brother disappeared. But...

Jason raised his right eye.

-Jason: But what?

Taylor sighed.

-Taylor: Didn't we all lose someone that we were connected to as witches?

Jason sat up straight and went into thinking mode.

-Jason: You're right. I lost my older brother. You, Cassie and Erica lost your parents...
-Taylor: And Adam lost his grandfather.
-Jason: Do you think that they are connected to Avi losing her mother and her brother?
-Cassie: I don't know but what I do know is that the death of Avi's mother and the disappearance of her brother are connected to her being a witch.

Jason wiped his face downwards.
-Jason: This is too much. What are we going to do?
-Cassie: We have to tell Avi!

The café was a bit empty but everyone else who was inside looked around at Cassie. She buried herself in the seat when she realised. But then she sneakily repeated herself in whispers.

-Taylor: We will. But we have to find Erica first.

They got up out of their seats.

-Taylor: Uncle Jack. I'll be heading out now.
-Jack: OK, take care you guys. See you tomorrow.
-Taylor, Cassie, Jason: You too.

They got into Jason's car with Jason driving, Taylor in the passenger's seat and Cassie in the back. Cassie leaned forward in the gap between the two front seats. Jason started the car and drove off.

-Taylor: I'm going to call her again.
-Jason: OK.

Taylor dialed Erica's phone. She pressed the button but the call didn't go through. It was still showing the screen with the dialed numbers on it. She pressed the button again thinking that she pressed the wrong button but it still didn't go through.

-Taylor: That's weird.
-Cassie: What?

She pressed the button again ensuring that Cassie was looking at it. The call still didn't got through.

-Jason: What is it?

Jason asked looking across him but quickly looked back on the road.

-Taylor: The call isn't going through.
-Jason: What do you mean the call isn't going through?
-Taylor: I mean the call isn't going through. I pressed the button but it's still on the screen.
-Cassie: Whoever has her must have seen when we called her earlier.

The car stopped at a stoplight. It was on red. Taylor looked around for other cars but there was none in sight. She flicked her fingers in the direction of the stoplight as the colours quickly changed from red to green.

-Taylor: Drive.

Jason smirked as he started driving.

-Jason: I love it when you do that.

Taylor smiled at him. Cassie rolled her eyes at them as she tried to change the subject.

-Cassie: I hope Erica is OK.

The smiles dropped from Taylor and Jason's faces.

-Jason: I'm sure she is. She's a badass remember?
