Chapter 8 (Meet my family)

The rest of the weekend flew by. I hung out with Ryan, Streeter, Wes, Drew, Keaton, Matt and Ally on Sunday. It was totally crazy. We went down to Huntington and went surfing there. The waves were better then Venice. I loved it. It was great fun too. Wes, Drew, and Keaton were f**king awesome; they were naturals. But Ryan and Streeter surfed like skaters, so we had a good laugh about that. We also went to Laraine's and hung out a bit there. We saw Zuni and I swear Keaton almost cried. He really loves that cat.

We went back up to LA in the late afternoon and hung out at the boy's house. They made us dinner and it was pretty terrible so we ordered pizza. Then we just watched movies and I fell asleep there. According to everyone else, Matt and Ally ditched me and Streeter took me home.

Today, was Monday, the start of a new week. I looked at the clock and saw it was about 8:00. "Better get ready." I thought to myself. I grabbed a pair of jeans and a Hollister tied shirt and some flip flips. I ate a quick breakfast and went down to the mall.

"Hey Bella." Skyler said nicely.

"Hi Skyler." I said back. I went to the back of the store where I stored my handbag I turned and hit my head on someone.

"Ouch. Sorry." I Said looking down and rubbing my head.

"Oh it's fine. That was my fault." I heard a guy say. I looked up.

"Chase?" I asked.

"Bella?" He asked back."You didn't tell me you worked here."

"Well you didn't tell me neither." He said wrapping his arms around my waist and I wrapped mine around his neck. "This is gonna be an awesome work day."

"Hell yeah." I said. We started chatting about our weekend until Skyler came in telling us that we needed to start.

The time went by fast because Chase and I were yelling back and forth having a conversation when no costumers and Skyler weren't around. The time until 12:15 went fast and as I went back to the room to get my bag, he came too.

"Hey wanna get lunch together?" He asked.

"What time does you lunch break end?"

"1:00."

"Cool."

"Was that a yes?"

"Yes."

"Awesome. Where do you wanna go?" He asked.

"I don't know. I haven't been eating out too much, but I found a cute caffe outside the mall."

"Oh yeah. I forgot about that place. It's really good."

"Yeah." We headed out the mall and went to the caffe. This time though, we talked about more meaningful and personal things unlike we did on our first date. We talked more about our families and friends and he told me he was studying in California to become a lawyer. It was interesting hearing his plans in life because I didn't have any. In the end, We had a nice time and had to sprint back to Hollister to finish our shift. The nest part of our shift pasted quickly, and when I went to grab my bag, I heard a voice.

"Hey. Wanna hang out?" I heard Chase ask from behind me.

"Sure. Wanna come to my place?" I offered.

"Sure. Wanna take my car?"

"Na we can walk. I live in the condos across the street."

"Okay." We walked to my house and opened the door to find a huge group of people there. Wes, Drew, Keaton, Matt, Ally, Streeter, Ryan, Laraine, and my mom.

"What the hell are you guys doing?" I yelled at everyone there.

"We live here." Ally said pointing at Matt and my mom.

"What about everyone else?"

"We had a half day today, so we were gonna surprise you after work." Wes said not bothering to look up from the video game that him, Streeter, Drew and Matt were playing.

"And they invited Streeter and me." Ryan said as he was flirting with Ally.

"I haven't seen you guys for a while." Laraine said.

"Okay." I said. We grabbed a spot on the couch. And I started introducing everyone. "You already know Wes, Drew, Keaton, and Ally right?"

"Yeah."

"Sweet. So that guy with the blonde hair playing the video game is Streeter. The guy with the brown hair that is flirting with Ally is Ryan. The boy in the red SnapBack is my little brother Matt and over there is my mom, Melissa and Keaton and Wes' mom, Laraine."

"Wow you guys have quite the group." He said.

"Yep. You are gonna have to memorize all the names."

He let out a sweet laugh. "okay give me about 2 weeks."

"Well then you suck at memorizing things." My mom then came over and started to introduce herself to Chase and talk to him. He was really nice to her, so it made me like him more. Soon I was getting bored sitting there, so I went up to Wes and flopped my body down on his lap causing him to blow up in whatever game he was playing.

"Damn you Bella. I lost because of you."

"Sorry, but you didn't even say hi to me." I said sitting up, but still on his lap.

"Well you were with that one dude over there."

"Yeah. Chase. You already know him. Now go be social."

"Fine." He said getting up. "Keaton, play for me." He handed him the remote and went away with me.

"Hey. Your Chase right?" Wes asked.

"Yeah. Your Wes right?" Chase said.

"Yeah. I think we met on a date you two had."

"Yeah. I remember that." I face Palmed my forehead this isn't going to work. The conversation kinda stopped at it was sorta awkward, until Wes broke it.

"Bella can I talk to you. In the other room?" Wes asked.

"Sure." I got up and saw my mom went back to chatting with Evan. She must have really liked him. Wes took me to my room and I sat down in my bed and he did too."Why do you need me?" I asked.

"I needed to talk to you about Chase." He said.

"Is this gonna be like those talks that Jason used to give me?" I asked

"No. I just don't want you getting hurt. Bella I love you and I hate it when your unhappy, so I want you to do me and you a favor and kick him out of you house right now."

"Why he's really nice and I really like him." I told him. It made him cringe a bit, but I ignored it.

"Anyway, you act different around those kind of guys. If you're gonna date someone, pick someone you can be yourself around." Wes said.

"Eh whatever." I said ignoring his advice.

"Just tell me if anything goes wrong. I'll kick his ass."

"Okay." I said jumping from the bed ready to rejoin Chase.

"Wait." Wes said as he grabbed my shoulder spinning me around so I was looking at him. "No other guy is going to love you more then me."

"Okay thanks. I love you too." He Leaned down and gave me a reassuring kiss on the cheek. I walked out of the room and hung out with Chase for the rest of the day.
