8- The Bar

"WHAT?!" Fury banged his hand in table in fury. "THERE WERE EIGHT OF YOU AND ONLY ONE OF HER! HOW DID YOU NOT CATCH HER?!

"She was fast," Clint said.

"Yeah," the rest of them agreed.

"And smart," Scott said. "Nobody has ever been able to catch me. And she somehow made me turn back big and almost break my back."

"That is no excuse!" Fury snapped. "You guys could have caught her!"

"Why do you need this girl?" Steve asked. He was getting tired of not being told all of the truth.

"That is none of your concern," Fury replied calmly.

"Yes it is my concern!" Steve said angrily, standing up from his chair. "I'm tired of you not telling us the truth! Why do you need this girl?! What's so special about her that you need her?! And tell me Fury. Why did you overhear my conversation with Agent Coulson?!"

The Avengers were looking at Steve and then at Fury. At Steve. At Fury. Steve. Fury.

"You want to know why, Cap?!" Fury said in a calm yet angry voice. "You want to know why I need to find that girl? You want to know why I overheard the conversation you had with Agent Phil Coulson? I'll tell you why Captain. I need her because she's a Hydra experiment. A VERY dangerous Hydra experiment. I need that girl because if I don't catch her, then she will destroy me. She will destroy the world! She will destroy you! Avengers!"

"If she is that dangerous as you say," Steve started. "Then why are you keeping secrets from us?! Why not just tell us the whole truth?! If you told us the whole truth then maybe finding that girl would be a bit more easy!"

After a brief silence Fury said, "There are some things, Cap, that I can not tell you. In this case I can not tell you about this girl because then we would be in more danger."

"MORE DANGER?!" Steve exclaimed.

"Also Cap," Fury said. "I can not tell you who this girl is because if I told you who she really is then-" Fury paused.

"Then what!?" Steve said.

Fury sighed. "I can't tell ypu who this girl is because then you wouldn't be fulfilling your duty as Captain."

"Well it seemes like if your Captain instead of me right now," Steve muttered.

Furt was about to say something but Steve didn't want to hear anymore. He bursted out of the room and walked to his own room. He layed on his bed just staring at the ceiling. Steve had no intention of coming out of his room any time soon.

"Steve?" Natasha knocked on the door of Steve's room. "May I come in?"

Steve didn't say anything so Natasha came in.

"Hey. Are you okay?" Nat asked.

"Yeah," Steve mumbled.

"No you're not," Nat said. "Steve you know how Fury is. Don't blame him. He just doesn't want us to get hurt. That's why he doesn't tell us some things."

Steve didn't say anything. He just stared at the ceiling.

"Can you atleast say something?"

When Steve didn't say anything, Natasha sighed and stood up to leave. But before she left, she said, "Tony's going to take the you guys for a guys night out to some bar. Just thought you should know." With that Natasha left.

Steve sighed. He didn't want to go to a bar with Tony and the other guys. He just wanted to stay in his room doing nothing. But maybe if he went with the guys to the bar that Tony was taking them to, then maybe he could drown his anger and frusteration in liquor. But he couldn't get drunk.

Oh well, Steve thought, I don't need to get drunk. I can just drink all night.

"Alrighty everyone! Let's go!" Tony yelled from the living room. "We're going to go get some tonight!"

Soon all of the guys came to the living room.

"Is Capsicle coming?" Tony asked.

"I don't think so," Clint said.

"I'm here," said Steve walking into the living room.

"Well then lets go," Tony said grinning.

Tony, Scott, Clint, and Pietro went in one car. Steve, Thor, Bucky, and Sam went in another car. Soon the seven of them arrived at the bar. As soon as the cars were parked, the seven guys got out of the cars and went inside of the bar.

"You coming Steve?" Clint asked.

"Yeah. I'll be there in a second," Steve said.

Clint nodded and followed the other guys inside the bar.

Steve sat in the car thinking about... about nothing. After thirty minutes of being in the car, Steve went inside the bar. He looked at the sign that was hung outside the bar. It was..... a strip bar.

Typical Stark, Steve thought.

Without thinking about it, Steve went inside the bar.
