Direction Addiction

A little searching and sobbing

Jade's P.O.V:

I looked out of the car window pouting as we drove away from the water park. I let out a deep and long sigh. "What's wrong?" Liam asked who was sitting beside me, still soaking and dripping on my legs. "I'm really sad that we have to go" I mumbled checking my watch.

"Well we will be back" Harry replied who was driving. "Ok. What are you guys gonna do when you get back to the house?" I asked. It was 8:00. "I think we will have a well deserved rest" Zayn butted in. I glanced over at Harry and made a remember Mandy's mother face. "Oh! Eh yeah.... Zayn?" Harry asked. "Hmm" Zayn mumbled. "We were actually thinking of going to see Mandy's eh mom?" Harry asked. "Well I'm nackered but you can go" he replied rubbing his eyes. "Does anyone else wanna come?" I asked but no one replied.

I shrugged and smiled at Harry. I guess it was just us then.

We arrived at a small grey building. "This is the place" Harry nodded. He took hold of my hand and squeezed it. I smiled and squeezed it back. We walked slowly through these big brown doors.

The air in the place was thick and heavy. The walls looked mouldy and the only thing in the room was a small desk. At the desk was a plump red haired lady, smoking and reading the paper. Harry pulled me along up to the desk.

"Ehem" Harry coughed. The lady looked up and then went back to reading her paper. "Um...excuse me?" I asked politely. She looked up again and sighed. "Whadaya want?!" She asked frustratedly. "Is Mary Prescott here?" Harry mumbled quietly. "No! Now get out!" She yelled shooing us out the door.

"Wait! Where is she then?" Harry asked concerned. "Do you think I'm a genius??!! How would I know?!!!" She yelled and spat into her coffee mug. "We need to know where she is" Harry stated seriously. The lady got furious and threw loads of papers at Harry and I. "Get out!" She screamed.

Harry slammed his fist down on the desk. "Look madam, I am not prepared to get my lawyers! It is your job to know where she is and I need a straight forward answer!" Harry shouted glaring at the woman.

"Ok!" The lady gave in rolling her eyes. "They were gonna send her here but then they said it was an unfit place so I think they sent her back to the hospital!" She yelled. Harry and I walked out quickly.

"Hmmm! Well then!" Harry yelled in a posh accent. I chuckled and tapped his nose. We got into Harry's car and drove to the hospital.

The smell in the hospital was so much nicer than the other place. I walked up to the desk. "Hello. We're looking for Mary Prescott?" I asked nicely. "Mary Prescott" the lady mumbled scanning some papers. "Nope. Only Mandy Prescott. Do you want to see her?" She asked smiling. "Ok" I said.

We walked into the blue door. Mandy was awake. "Hello" she said. "Hey Mandy." We said in unison. "I got my operations and I'm feeling better. I might be able to go home tomorrow!" She squealed. "Great!" We said.

"I'll ask if we can tell her" I whispered into Harry's ear. He nodded and I walked outside. I walked over to the doctor. "Hey doc, am I aloud to break the bad news to Mandy Prescott about her dad? I think it's time she knew" I asked. The doctor nodded. "Now do it calmly. I already told her about the fire, she was crying but she's got over it" he whispered to me. I nodded and walked back inside.

Harry and I sat on her bed. "Mandy?" Harry asked. "Yeah?" She replied. "We have to tell you something important" I said seriously. "What is it?" She asked. "The fire...... Your father..... Couldn't survive it. We're looking for your mam but....." Harry looking at the floor. I saw a tear slip out of her eye.

I felt so sad for her. I gave her a huge hug. She sobbed on my shoulder.

Mandy's P.O.V:

A tear slipped from my eye. I saw Jade look sorry for me. She gave me a big hug. I started sobbing. I felt Harry's arms rap around me too. I couldn't say anything. My throat was really tight. "I'm so sorry" Harry said. Jade started crying too. "It's gonna be alright, ok?" She said between sobs. She gave me another hug. I was in shock. I was shaking and felt sick. "Ddad" I muttered.

They gave me a tighter hug. I started wheezing loads and crying and crying and crying and crying. I'd stop crying when I ran out of water. I started gagging and threw up. I got sick all over them but they didn't care. "Sssssoorry" I managed to say.

This was the worst day of my life. Jade held me in her arms cooing me every time I sobbed. "Shhhh" she whispered. "It's gonna be ok. Calm down" she cooed and rubbed my hair.

We hugged for about 20 minutes. Jade handed me over to Harry. "Mandy look at me" Harry said calmly. I looked up into his eyes. "We're your best friends and we are going to help you through this tough time. We are not going to leave you" he said it like he meant it. I started crying again. They were so nice to me. I saw Harry crying too. "Ttthanks" I said shakily. Harry kissed my cheek.

They're the best friends ever.
