Dan woke up to the smell of breakfast and his back aching from sleeping on a hard sofa.
Phil was cooking breakfast for dan pancakes and bacon and some coffee he wanted a way to say sorry to dan for the burning candle.

"Dan come get breakfast!" Phil yells from the kitchen. Dan hurrys to the kitchen hungry from sleeping in so long.
Phil sets Dan's plate across the table and sets his on the other side and goes to make his and dans coffee.
Dan's eating intill he catches phils ocean blue eyes staring at him.
"Watcha looking at " dan says
Phil blushes starting to eat all his food and getting up to wash his dish.
"Are you done dan?" Phil says
" yup I'm done " Dan says handing phil his dish to wash it since he fell asleep last night for his shift, of course dan didn't mind doing them again but phil insisted he did it.
Dan handed phil his plate as phil went to grab it and their hand brushed against eachother. Phil got panicked and dropped his plate and it shattered to pieces.
"I'M SO SORRY "phil gets down trying to pick up the pieces with his bear hands and throwing them in the trash but gets to a sharp piece and cuts his hand open.
"OWW shit " phil yells
"Phil what are you doing !!" Dan says going over to phil
"Come on let's go to the bathroom I'll get the first aid kit.

Dan gets the first aid kit and patches up phils cuts on his hand and stops the bleeding.
"Phil can you roll your sleeves up so I can put this on you " phil just stares at him not wanting this to happen right now if dan sees what he's been doing what will he think of him.?
He'd probbaly run. Before phils mind could think anymore dan rolls up phils sleeve.

Dan's shoked at what he sees red marked across phils wrist and words that I can barley see anymore. But he doesn't say anything he just patches phils cuts and tells him to stop picking up pieces of glass and have him do it next time.

Phil's glad dan didn't say anything.
I'm not sure he noticed, he thinks maybe dan won't ask and hopefully everything will be better. Phil can still remember at the dinner table how deep dans dimple was everytime he took a bite of his food and his hair still curly from just waking up something was going on with phil but he had no idea what.

Dan's in his room doing research on self harm and trying to understand why phil would be doing this. He never thought phil would be the one to ever self-harm he was always happy and laughing you could never see a sad soul in him. Dan goes to sleep crying that night but he's not sure why is it cause he just found out his best friend self-harms or is it because he's mad he didnt find out sooner.
