"Bye Sun Hun" said mom dropping me to school.
I walked to the school gate head down, embarrassed when I saw Eliot laughing at what my mother called me.
He then started to follow me. Oh No!
"Hey Sun Hun!" He said laughing.
"Stop it" I said playfully elbowing him.
He then playfully pushed me.
"Oh! Think fast" I said pushing him hard on the chest, but he caught my arm and we both fell to the grass. Last thing I remember we were both laughing our heads out and that's when our eyes met. I stared at his big dreamy emerald green eyes, only to see his pupils become smaller, and change to those of a snake's and then back to normal. Yet another vision of the mysterious emerald green serpent.
"I .. I need to get to class" I said running.
********
As usual, I wasn't paying attention during class because I kept thinking about Eliot.
Homecoming is very soon, being that I came to school late. Will Eliot ask me to the dance, or is it to early? And do I want him to ask me out? Wait! Do I like him? Wait WHAT —
My thoughts were interrupted by Mrs. James, our English teacher. She kept blabbing about how I'm not focusing in her class and all that crap. Of course, I had no interest in whatever she was saying and luckily, the school bell rang and we were dismissed.
I went to the library, only to find Eliot again. I was confused, and felt quite suspicious. Why is he everywhere I go? It's only been a day knowing him, why does it feel like a very long time?
"Sonny?"
"Yes Eliot?" I asked when he approached me.
"Did you by any chance check the latest post I posted on Facebook?"
Oh God!
"Um.." I said feeling pink all over.
"I know we've known each other for a very short amount of time, but do you want to go out with me? Like as in a date?"

"No!" said mom after I told her about Eliot.
"But why mom?"
My parents looked at each other then at me, then back at each other with a very weird look worn on their faces.
"Mom. Dad. Is there something you're hiding from me?
"We should tell her sweetheart." said dad worriedly.
"You're right." said mom sighing.
I could feel the whole room shaking. I was so nervous, anxious to know what's going on.
"Honey. Your dad got his ex-boss whom owned a very important bank back in Michigan arrested."
"And what does that have to do with Eliot?" I asked.
"Your father's ex-boss was Eliot's father, George Willson"
"WHAT! So .. am .. Eliot .. we" I stammered.
"Let me finish honey. When your father found out that Mr.Wilson is stealing from clients, he informed the police at once, and all Mr.Wilson's money got taken away.
Mr. Wilson threatened your father with your life and mine. And since Mr. Wilson got out, we moved to Florida"
I was stunned. It were as if I was stabbed by a knife over a hundred times. How could my parents never have told me about this?
"Were you planing on never going to tell me this?" I said almost in tears.
"Honey we—"
"ENOUGH!" I said banging my hands on the wooden table almost breaking it.
"I am done with your stupid lies." I continued remembering all the lies they've told just to make me not even have the slightest idea about what happened towards our family and the Wilsons'.
"What other things are you hiding from me?" I said. "I know there's something."
"Well Sonny" said mother. Then she continued about telling me how she is not able to have kids anymore. I was heartbroken almost flooding the room with my tears. After a while from being comforted, my father started with..
"Sonny, we are adopting an eighteen-year-old girl in a few weeks."
I stood there, looking my father straight in the eye. I couldn't even say a word.
I'm having a sister?
