I drove as quickly as I could. I did not care about the laws I was breaking, I only cared for my mother. I lost both my parents today. This all seems like a dream; it is too horrifying to be true.

I reached the hospital and parked in the middle of the road. I ran towards the entrance almost getting hit. I saw Alexis sitting on the stairs completely distraught. Head on her knees. Eyes covered in tears.

"A...Alex." I said looking at her.

"Oh! Sonny!" she said wiping her tears with her trembling hands. She did not even have the power to smile. She hugged me and started crying. Her warmth and affection touched me, and I found myself in tears.

"At least we have each other." she said with hope in her voice.

"I will avenge their deaths and our broken hearts. First he kidnaps me by poisoning me with a snake's venom, then kidnaps me to his lair, kills my father, and now causes the death of my mother." I said in rage.

"We will report him to the police department. He will serve life in prison, rotting in that cell." She said trying to comfort me.

"Take me to her room."

"Here" said Alex pointing to the closed door of room 4402.

I opened the door. The lifeless corpse lay under the white sheets. The nurses were unplugging the wires and fluids. I walked slowly to the bed and unveiled the sheet. She looked so beautiful, even when dead; like a sleeping angle.

I kissed her lips and said my final goodbye.

I walked back with Alex. As we reached the hospital doors, it flung open suddenly. The silence broke with,

"The patient is losing blood from his lower abdomen."

"He needs more oxygen."

"Move out of the way."

There he lay, hardly breathing, blood everywhere, almost lifeless. Like a tired, barely surviving rabbit escaping a wolf's hunt.

"Dad?" I whispered under my breath.

I ran to the quickly moving stroller.

"Dad! DAD! Please, you don't understand. Thats my dad!"

They entered the Emergency Room.

I turned to Alex. "He's alive."

"But how?" She questioned

"Eliot..."
