I put on the first thing I grabbed from the closet.

"I want this date to be one of the best . " I said to my self not realizing I was speaking out loud. I gathered my hair in a high ponytail, applied a thin layer of red lipstick, and wore my leather jacket. I walked out the bathroom door breathing out the stress and looking at Alexis who was smiling with her thumbs up.

"Thank you." I mouthed to her as I headed down the stairs.

I caught a glimpse of Eliot from the living room's window. What's he doing outside. I knew that it was wrong to eavesdrop, but every muscle refused to follow my desire and I began moving towards the door.

"We're leaving now dad .. Yeah, yeah. We'll be there in 20! Oh and Steve will be there to pick her up right?"

"Wait .. What?" I whispered under my breath. He caught a short glimpse of me through the corner of his eyes.

"Go to go!" He said struggling to close his phone. I got out the door after tying my shoe laces.

He looked at me weirdly "Why do you look so freaked out?"

"Me! Freaked out! No! No! I'm fre-- I mean not freaked out.. hh" I said turning pink. This is one of the worst traits about me. I am very bad at lying.

"Come on Son Hun" he smiled at me knowing that I hate to be called by that name. I gave him a glare of death and then breathed it out.

"First of all, I told you not to call me that. And second of all.." I struggled. "I eavesdropped your conversation with your.. dad."

Eliot then started laughing. I stood shocked. "Sonny" he stopped laughing. "My dad is still in jail."

"But its been 12 years already. He'd probably gone out by now!"

"I'm sure I'll be the first to know when my dad will get out of jail." He looked down at his watch. "Come on now! We'll be missing the sunset if we don't get going."

We walked up the hill for a while. Both our hands tucked in our pockets from the cold weather. None of us talked to each other until I couldn't handle the curiosity anymore.

"Who's Steve? And what is he picking up?" I spit it out. He looked at me with a very worried look worn on his face.

"You know to much." He took a deep breath. "We're planning to kidnap you! What else would it be?"

"WHAT!" I stopped as I moved backwards slowly, almost tripping down from my own footsteps.

He burst out laughing to the point that he'd fell down to the grass arms opened. "YOUR FACE!" he struggled trying to breath. "YOUR FACE IS PRICELESS!"

"Eliot!" I said trying to punch him realizing that it was a joke. He caught hold of my hand and pulled me to fall down and lay next to him. He looked at me as if staring at my soul.

"I like this." he said. "I like us."

"Shh!" I said touching his soft lips with my finger. I knelt down and we kissed. I laid on his chest listening to his heartbeat. I looked down the grass and saw a green serpent slithering towards us. I closed my eyes thinking it was just my visions. I opened them again and felt the snake's poisonous venom in my blood flow as it bit me with its sharp fangs.

"Eliot.. help me.." I struggled to say hardly breathing.

"I'm sorry" he said carrying me to what seemed to be a car. I closed my eyes as the light faded.
