A very happy new year to all of you and a belated Christmas!

I hope that the new year brings loads of love, luck and laughter in your lives.....

I apologies for the delay, but I have been hunting for a place to set the story in. Sadly, I did not find any land not owned by one country or another, hence, for the sake of convenience, we will assume that the countries of North Africa shifted a little each and gave us some land in the Atlas mountains. Also, going away from geography, (maybe a little.. maybe not... ) we will assume that the place, the state where the next journey leads Liam to is called Al jannahi. Let's use a few Arabic words as I could not find African ones with meanings....

Let's remember that this is a work of fiction and we are not in anyway trying to hurt or mock anyone in any possible way. Any resemblance to any event place or incident is purely coincidental and highly regretted. I have tried to keep things as fictional as possible without taking the story towards fantasy... I hope I have succeeded...

I have used Arabic names, again becasue I couldn't find as many African ones with their meanings and I for one like the Arabic names..

Abu means father and Father to a son is always called Abu- the son's name. Hence Abu- Abdur.

Abdur's mother will be called Ummm Abdur... in the same sense... this is something I quiet like and have libraly taken from the Arabic culture...

Most of the rituals are made up and whatever resembles something, I have respectfully uplifted from a culture or religion of my liking... if you find that I am wrong or have misinterpretted anything, kindly leave me a comment and I will make the changes...

Please do let me know your thoughts on this.....

Loads of Love

Vicky

Lily's POV:

Mom and Dad simply shut up about my man after my outburst. No one said anything, although, they behaved as normally as possible with me. The next morning, Mom walked with me when the nurses wheeled me for my first obs-gyn check-up. Although, they had checked my baby's vitals and kept an eye on her, we were yet to have a formal check-up and Sonography. Mom fussed over me as she held my hand.

"It will be alright, honey." She whispered as we waited for the Doctor to walk in.

"I am so sorry, Mom."  I whispered but she quietly shushed me as she patted my arm.

"Love, I understand true love, and so does your Dad. We want you to be happy, and if, being with your baby and waiting for your man gives you happiness, then so be it." She whispered as she pulled me into a warm hug and gently patted my head.

"Thank you Mom..." I whispered but was cut short by the arrival of the Doctor, who immediately got down to business. She was sweet and understanding, but, still direct and to the point. She explained the process and progress to me, gave me a list of dos and don'ts and prescribed some vitamins.

All I knew was that I had to take care of my Angel she was after all my Liam's treasure, left in my care and awaiting the return of her father. I promised her that I would do all that I could to protect and love her......

LIAM's POV:

I sat on my bunk in the safe house with my head in my hands and a pounding heart. I knew, I simply did, that my Lil Bits was in pain. Something was awfully wrong with her and I had absolutely no idea how to get in touch with her without alerting anyone…

I could not risk anything, absolutely anything happening to her and in this war ravaged country that was now my base, every source was as leaky as rats in a sinking boat. I couldn't trust anyone, hell, I did not want to... The fear had drenched my shirt and the sweat merely added to my annoyance. The heat was unbearable so was the stench of fear. I wanted out, I truly did. First, I had to find my master and healer, problem was, he was last rumoured to be in this city, only, I could not find him. The latest I had heard was that he had wandered into the war-ravaged city to care for those poor souls who were neither dead nor living. I had tried to hunt him, find him but with the rising death toll, it was a humongous task.
