I See the light

Eugene's P.O.V

I woke up with the sun shining on my face through the window. I can't open my eyes enough so I just decided to sleep again but not for long, I stretched out my right arm and landed it at the woman I loved. She woke up due to the impact of my hand to her waist.

"Hmm.." with a sleepy moan with a mix of slight yawn, the woman responded to me. I know what she was telling. I just smiled while my eyes closed, unknowing what happens at the room. I was nearly to fall asleep, my dream is starting. I knew this is gonna be good but then someone pinched my nose and I woke up due to surprise.

"Good morning Mr. Eugene Fitzherbert" The woman beside me told. Her big and shining green eyes stared at me with her shiny lips smiling slightly. I smiled back, lifted my head and leaned it on my hand that was supported by my elbow. I tucked a hair of the woman's hair and stroke her cheeks.

"Good morning, Mrs. Rapunzel Fitzherbert." I kissed her shiny lips and she kissed back.

"What was that for?" Rapunzel asked me.

"What do you mean? I just wanted for you to have a good start this morning" I place my right hand back to her waist. I know Rapunzel's scared about last night.

*Who is 'D.S'? What does he want from us?* I thought while taking a shower. Water running through my body, as fast as how my mind works.

*What if he knew about what happened last night? Is he the one who did these? If only I knew who he is, I would go straight to him and punch him in his smolder.*

After taking a shower, I suddenly remember what happened last night, that Rapunzel disappeared. I know she's at the other side of the room. Fixing her hair. I turned the door knob, waiting for a moment to open the door with speed. At last,the moment I've done it, I still can see Rapunzel fixing her hair at front of the mirror.

"What's wrong?" Rapunzel startled after I did a mischievous thing.

"Nothing. Just testing something. By the way, nice hair color you applied there. Blonde huh? Brings back memories." I complimented her hair which was dyed.

"Well, it's just I wanted to try something new. Don't worry this won't last long." Rapunzel put down her brush and went to the door.

"Now hurry up. Mother and father is waiting at the balcony with Farrah. I'll go now." She said.

I looked down and sighed with a smile. I let her go first. I got dressed as prince again. At the balcony, I went and saw my happy wife and child, playing. Nothing can ever change this happiness I'm feeling.

Noon came. We just investigated the whole day about what happened last night. It seems I and Rapunzel are the only one who knew about it after all. And we found no clue, no suspect and no hint. Gosh I hate this.

I went to our room and saw the door to the balcony open. I took a peek and I saw Rapunzel sitting at the fence, watching the sunset. I took a step and she heard. Well, she jumped in surprise and turned around, finding me behind her.

"Oh, hey. Since when have you been there?" Rapunzel asked me.

"Just now. I just saw a sexy lady at the balcony and she's so eye catching that I wanted to get close to her." I teased while lifting and pinching her nose with a laugh.

"You're teasing me again. When will this irresistible husband of mine stop?" She said with a laugh and while pinching my cheeks. She pulled me and gave me a kiss. I kissed her back.

After seconds, we looked at the sunset. It was so beautiful. It melted my heart. I looked at Rapunzel. She has a worried face that was about to cry. I asked her why but she just shook her head. I got an idea. I went back to the room, searching for something and finally, I found my guitar like thingy. Well, whatever it is. I leaned at the balcony door and strung the strings.

"All those days, chasing down a daydream

All that time, never truly seeing things, the way they were

I stopped waiting for Rapunzel to sing along with me and she did.

I plucked the last strings as ending and Rapunzel smiled like she was calmed down. I held her had.

"At last, you're not worried" I said with a smile.

"It's getting dark. We should get inside and take a rest you know." I said.

"You're right. Maybe we should kiss Farrah goodnight first?" Rapunzel said loudly. I was curious why should she tell it that way.

Suddenly the door to the hallway opened and Farrah peeked with her eyes telling something like 'I'm fine. I'm not a child anymore.' Then she closed the door without saying a word. I looked back to Rapunzel and she giggled. I just smirked and went to the door quietly. The door opened again and Farrah's head popped out again but this time, she was curious why couldn't she spot me together with Rapunzel. She went in and didn't notice I was behind the door. I closed the door quickly and lifted her high.

"Up you go you naughty princess. Haha!" I spin while lifting Farrah. We laughed and I caught Rapunzel in my right arm and Farrah sitting on my back. We played a little and landed on our bed.

"That was cool papa! Can we do it again?" Farrah said while shaking my arm.

"Maybe next time sweetie. Papa is tired. Me too. And you should go to bed now." Rapunzel.

"Then sing me a song. I won't go to sleep unless you do something." Farrah crossed her arms and pouted.

"Oh c'mon Farrah our throats are rested for the day. We'll just give you a kiss." I sat down and was about to kiss Farrah goodnight but she stopped me with a hand knowing that I know why she gave us the face earlier. I just laughed and we gave her a chance.

"So what song do you want to hear sweetie?" Asked Rapunzel.

"I want to hear the whole song of the song papa is singing to you earlier. It's so pretty." Farrah sighed because of dreaming or whatever she felt about the song.

We gave her a chance. She fell asleep and we decided to let her sleep between us. The night was quiet and we slept.
