"What am I going to wear!?" I screamed looking into my closet.

I can't wear jeans and a T shirt since it's supposed to be a formal thing. I haven't bought or worn a dress since my fifth grade graduation.

I guess I have to raid my mother's closet.

I peeked down stairs to make sure she wasn't there. If there's one thing my mom hates, it's someone going through or borrowing her stuff.

I walked through the kitchen, the dining room, and the living room.

The coast Is clear.

I opened her closet.

I hit the mother load!

There was about a million dresses in here with about a million pairs of heels paired up with them.

I was going through the closet and found a dress that stood out to me above the rest. It went down to about my ankles and the back was out, but most importantly it was sparkly. I saw the matching shoes below them and picked them up.

"I pray this isn't an ugly color," I whispered to myself.

I tried on the dress. It was a bit tight at first, but then it slipped right on.

I guess I should lay off the cookies and chocolate.

I walked over to the mirror and gasped.

Was this really me?

The dress fit my body perfectly, hugging my every curve.

I smiled, "this is the one."

Now it's time to do the impossible.

"My hair." I looked in the mirror and took out my messy bun. I watched as my hair fall into my face, blinding me for a second.

"I can't do this." Even though I've been taking care of myself since I was in first grade, I still don't know how to do my hair. I've asked my mom before but of course she refused. I just wanted to pull my hair out and go bald. But I feel like my head is way too big for that.

"YouTube it is then." I grabbed my phone and looked up some hairstyles that even I could do.

"So now your going to deep condition your hair for about fifteen to thirty minutes."

Deep condition? What the heck is that?!

"Conditioner, conditioner, conditioner..." I looked in the shower to see if my mom had any conditioner, "ah! Conditioner."

I opened the bottle to see how it smelled, "Mmm, berries."

So I guess now I'm supposed to put the conditioner in my hair and put a plastic thing on my hair?

I don't know if my mom has one of those.

I looked under her sink and saw a pile of them sitting in a basket.

What the heck doesn't she have?!

I guess I have a little free time while I'm doing this deep condition thing.

Onto the next step!

"So after you deep condition, you want to rinse it out and then blow dry your hair to get ready for the flat ironing process."

My worst enemy... heat tools.

I remember in eighth grade, the first time I attempted to flat iron my hair, I burned my ear so bad I still have a scar on it to this day. I remembered getting scolded by my mom and having to go to school with a half flat ironed head.
