It was night time. Everybody was asleep. They were all in their cabins sleeping. But I was awake all night. I couldn't stop thinking of what Ryan said...
I sat up on my bed. And I looked outside. I saw a figure sitting on a tree. I wasn't sure who or what it was. I was curious, so I went to go check it out.
As I walked outside, I saw was able to make out who the figure was. It was Kyleah. I say right beside her.
"Hey Kyleah?" I asked.
"What the hell do you want you disgrace?" She asked.
I laughed at the word, "Disgrace"
"Why are you out here?" I asked.
"Why are you?" She asked.
"Well. I asked you first. But I guess I have to answer you. I couldn't sleep," I said.
"I can barely get any sleep now a days..." She says.
"Why?" I asked.
"Life," Kyleah says.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"NOTHING!!! Just get out of here!" She said.
"No. You seem hurt, and I'm going to help you out. Now tell me what's wrong?" I asked.
"I'm a loser..." She said.
"What?" I asked.
"I have no friends..." She starts to sob.
"Kyleah. What're you taking about?" I asked.
"You heard me," She continued to sob.
"No Kyleah. You're not a loser. You're friends with Ethan, Ryan, and Savannah. Right?" I asked.
"No. I was just making myself look better. If I hung out with them, I'd make myself look better," She says.
"But you're better... Look please think about this. Just don't listen to anybody... That's what I always do," I say.
"What do you mean?" She asks.
"Well. It's true. I'm not going to deny the fact that I would get bullied when I was younger..." I said.
"But... That was when you were younger," She says.
"There's no difference. I was bullied, and you feel lonely... Right?" I said.
"Yeah. It's just that... I feel so alone. I try to take to the other delinquents, but... It never works out," Kyleah explains.
"Look. From experience, it takes time and patience... And from patience comes good skills. And if you don't start now, you can't go back," I say.
"I can't," She says.
"No. You can. Can I give you some advice?" I ask.
"Yeah," She says.
"Second chances are rare. And... And, if you begin now, you'll change. I promise you. You'll get there," I say.
I finally saw a smile grow on her face. I smiled back.
"What time is it?" She asks.
"I don't know. But it's dark out, and probably is late. Let's go to bed," I say.
"Ok," She responds.
I helped her up, and I walk her to her cabin. Afterwards, I walked myself to my cabin, and went off to bed.
