We were all jogging our  way through the Fortress. The 200-300 feet walls. It took us about a good 10 minutes to walk a while straight pathway, when entering.

The day was finally going dark, and we still hadn't finished walking. There were mutts at the moment. We were all perfectly fine.

After the 10 minute path, we made a left, and we hid underneath a wall, that had vines all over the wall. Since the wall was completely covered in vines, we were allowed to hide under it, so any creature would pass by, and not notice us.

The wall was pretty long, so all of us were all able to fit under just one wall, and sleep.

I wasn't able to sleep... I kept on thinking what could've happened if we would've stayed in the Village?

"Who's fault is this???" I asked myself.

Ms. Houghten was blaming it all on us... That's why the others had looked at us as if we weren't wanted...

"Alan are you up?" Jade whispered.

"Yeah. I can't sleep..." I replied.

"How long will it take to get us out of here?" Jade asks.

"I'm not sure... We need Ethan, Mia, and Nick's help to guide us through this place," I said.

"We better survive..." Jade says.

"How are you holding up?" I asked.

"I could be better... Janessa told us not to talk to you..." She says.

"Really? It's okay. Plus, we made up," I said.

"That's great," She says.

"How's Caleb?" I ask.

"Well. He was also convinced by Janessa. He's been trying to do his calculations how to escape..." Jade explains.

"Well Ryan told me that it's impossible to escape the Fortress..." I said.

She stayed silent for a bit. She sighed, and repeated to stay silent.

"After the first Games... I wasn't myself anymore. I tried my best to work off the pain, but it'll come back to me..." Jade says.

"We all went a little insane during or after the Games... At least, Janessa, you, and I did..." I said.

"It's just that... How can I say this?" She says.

"It's okay... Just take your time," I say.

"I remember asking myself, is it over?" She says.

I stayed quiet, as hose words echoed in my head over and over again. Then, I suddenly felt nauseous.

"Are you okay?" She asks.

"Yeah I'm fine..." I replied. I wasn't feeling so nauseous anymore.

We all slept there for the night. And we awoke to the sun shining in our faces.

I wasn't the first one up, but Ethan, Mia, and Nick were.

"Morning," I said.

Nick and Ethan were the only two who greeted me. Mia stayed silent. I really didn't care what she thought. Then everybody was starting to also get up.

"We should probably eat," Mia says.

We all got out our food and ate. As the sun literally just came up, we decided to go deeper inside the Fortress.

We all got up all together as jogged straight down the path. Then we turned right. We somehow were running in a straight line. Mia was first, Ethan was second, third was Nick, I was fourth. The others were behind us.

Then we all stopped of the sound of bones cracking and screaming.

"AHHHHHH!!!!"

I turned around and we saw Savannah caught in a blade. There was so much blood... I ran up to Savannah.

"SAVANNAHHH!!!" Janessa yelled.

"I'm... F.. F... I'm fine..." Savannah choked.

"What happened?" I asked desperately.

"We were running... We didn't see the blades... They began to swing once you guys were ahead of us. Savannah accidentally ran into it, and got caught," Janessa explains.

"Are you going to be okay?" Nick asks.

"LOOK AT HER YOU RETARD?!!" I yelled.

"It's fine... I.. I mean at least... You killed... That fat Humpty Dumpty looking ass..." Savannah stuttered.

"Humpty Dumpty?" I asked.

"Mr. Cowles... You killed him... I know that..." Savannah said.

After what Savannah said, her soul was gone... The cannon went off... Her body laid there lifeless...

I didn't see what happened...
