By the time lunch time came around, Dallon was the last to get to the cafeteria. Everyone was already sitting at the usual table they've sat at for two years now. Everyone was sitting on their significant others laps, or sitting next to them. Dallon sat down next to Sarah, who had Hayley on her lap. Dallon seemed to get along with them the most, but he liked to hang around Tyler and Josh more because they were legit couple goals. Dallon thought they were adorable. He aspired to try and be like them with his soulmate in the future. To think that person might possibly be Brendon.

Speaking of Brendon, Dallon almost forgot that he would be meeting all of them at lunch. Ryan was hanging around his other douchecanoe friends, Spencer and Jon. They were soulmates as well. When Dallon looked over to where they would be sitting, Brendon wasn't with them. Actually, Dallon didn't know where he was. He could be coming here any minute. He should probably tell everyone about his color thing before Brendon came.

"Guys, I have something to tell you," started Dallon.

"You lost your virginity- wait, that would only happen if you found your soulmate, which will never happen to you," said Pete.

"Pete, don't be so mean!" said Patrick.

"Guys, let Dallon speak!" yelled Hayley.

"If you could not yell in my ear, that'd be great, babe," said Sarah.

"Okay, you may proceed, Dallon," said Josh.

"Thank you, Josh. Now, this is going to be very hard to believe, but I think I found my soulmate."

They didn't expect him to be so blunt about it, and they were speechless. They all thought he must've been joking, but no one jokes about something like this. Tyler was the first to break the silence.

"Are you serious?! Who, who is it!?" asked Tyler.

"This is where it gets complicated- I think it's Brendon."

"Brendon? But he's dating Ryan, how's that possible? Are you sure you're seeing colors?"

"Yes, I can very clearly see Hayley's hair color. And I have a theory that Brendon and Ryan might not be soulmates. Or some case where Brendon or Ryan has two soulmates, or whatever, but I'm leaning more towards the first one."

"Shit, here he comes, stop talking about the thing," said Sarah.

"But we are talking about this later, this is big!" yelled Hayley.

Brendon came over and took a seat next to Dallon. Dallon felt very awkward when he sat down, Brendon probably did too.

"He-e-ey, Brendon! How's your day?" asked Sarah.

"Meh, could be better," he replied.

"What, why? Is it Ryan?" asked Hayley.

"Unfortunately, yes."

"That really sucks. I mean, fighting with your soulmate might be the worst because you two are supposed to love each other," said Dallon.

"Yeah... Can we talk about something else, this is a soft subject."

"Yeah, actually, Dallon was telling us something, and he stopped when you came over," said Tyler.

Everyone but Brendon stared at Tyler like he just said something stupid, and then Tyler just realized what he said.

"Oh, uhm, never mind, no he wasn't."

"Hold on, Dallon, so you're seeing blue?" asked Hayley. She tried to say it in a sort of whisper so Brendon wouldn't hear, but that girl can't whisper for her life.

"Mhm," he answered.

"Oh, you're seeing colors? Who's the lucky person?" asked Brendon

Is he serious right now? Dallon thought.

"Um, not sure."

"Oh. You'll find out though, good luck on finding them."

"Thanks."

"Wait... Brendon, hold Dallon's hand," said Hayley.

"What?"

"Just do it, it's for an experiment."

"Um, okay?"

Brendon grabbed Dallon hand without a warning.Their fingers went together like a puzzle piece. Dallon looked down at their hands clasped together, then up at Brendon's eyes.

"Okay, you can let go now," said Hayley.

Brendon held on a for a few more seconds, and then he let go. Dallon noticed something different again when he looked over at Sarah. Like in homeroom when he noticed the sky and Hayley's hair was blue. Sarah's shirt bursted in color... Yellow. Dallon was seeing yellow. After he held Brendon's hand. Okay, now this was serious. He couldn't deny it anymore. He started thinking about those questions from earlier when he saw blue.

A little chime, a ringtone from someone's phone, interrupted the silence. Brendon pulled his phone out of his pocket, looked at it, and sighed.

"What is it?" asked Sarah.

"It's Ryan. He wants to talk."

"Oh, well, you can go if you need to, we'll see you around."

"Thanks, Sarah. I'll see you later, it was nice meeting you guys."

They all said their goodbyes, and then Ashley slammed her hands on the table-like she meant buisness-making some of them jump.

"What color are you seeing now?!" yelled Ashley.

"What? How do you know I'm seeing a new color?"

"Why do you think I asked Brendon to hold your hand? The more romantic things you do with your soulmate, the more colors you start seeing. So, what color?"

"Yellow."

"Ew, the color of the sun," said Hayley.

"She has a thing against the sun, she hates it," said Sarah

Yellow. Dallon realized he was going to have to confront Brendon about this whole thing. It would be a shock to everyone that he was lying about his soulmate. He wondered if Ryan even knew Brendon was lying. What if Ryan had two soulmates and he was seeing colors, but Brendon wasn't? Or the other way around? God, this all seemed so complicated to him. He wish Brendon wasn't lying about it. Or both Brendon and Ryan.

"Hey, I'm having a party on Saturday, who's coming?" asked Pete.

"Jesus, Pete, you have a party almost every week, cool it. And I will be attending," said Josh.

Everyone chimed in and said they were coming. Dallon agreed on going too. Pete's parties usually started off with only his group of friends being invited along with a few other people, then word got out, and practically the whole school ended up being at Pete's house. He's the guy on school that has some of the greatest parties of the year. People that didn't go really missed out.

"Should I invite Dallon's boyfriend?"

"Stop teasing him, Pete," said Patrick.

"Thank you, Patrick. But yeah, I mean, if you wanna."

Maybe Dallon could ask Brendon during the party about the colors. That is if he went. And hopefully without Ryan.
