They didn't think about the party while they were in there, then they saw Josh open the door, Tyler on his shoulders, and Sarah following them holding Hayley bridal style.
"Oh, look at the two lovebirds cuddling! Someone go get Patrick, he'll flip," said Hayley.
"Why aren't you guys at the party?" asked Dallon.
"Too many people, and there's no more of Pete's pot brownies, so we got bored and thought we'd hang out with you guys," said Sarah.
"Someone text Pete and Patrick, ask if they wanna join us. And ask them to bring some drinks," said Dallon.
"So, I see you two are cuddling. Any new colors?" asked Tyler.
"Yep. Green."
"Ew, I hate that color."
"You hate every color."
"Not true. I very much like red and blue."
The two talked about colors randomly for a while, then Pete walked in holding a case of beer, Patrick following him.
"Patrick, your OTP is cuddling!" yelled Josh.
"Aweh, you guys are cute."
"Yeah, I guess we are," said Brendon.
"When are you going to make it official?" asked Pete.
Brendon remembered that he had to break the news to Ryan. And break up with him. He looked at Dallon. Dallon looked back and thought the same thing.
"Um, well, I have to break up Ryan first, tell him about Dal and I, and-" Brendon was interrupted by a text ringtone, it was his. He grabbed his phone out of his pocket, and sat up against the bedhead.
"Oh. Ryan's here. . ."
"Hey, it's fine, like I said, take the time you need to tell him," Dallon said.
"No, I have to do this now. Better not keep him waiting."
He slid off the bed and stood up on his feet and walked out of Pete's room. Hayley ran up to the door and out her ear against it to hear Brendon walking away so he didn't hear their conversation they were going to start.
"Dallon's got his soulmate! This is amazing! Dallon's not left out! Yay!" yelled Tyler.
"Yeah, yeah, I know, this is exciting, blah, blah, blah," said Dallon.
"It's not just that, we're happy for you too. The long search is finally over and we're glad that you found your special someone," said Patrick.
"Thank you, Patrick."
"So-o-o-o, how do you feel?" asked Sarah.
Dallon couldn't describe in one word how he felt. He felt at least a million emotions at once, and he couldn't even say one to describe it all.
"I'm feeling a lot of mixed emotions. Mostly positive though. I mean, this is probably one of the best days of my life, let's be honest here."
"Wait till you two get married. I better be your best man," said Hayley.
"Depends, what if I want a maid of honor?"
"Then I will be Brendon's best man. I don't care who's wedding it is, some day I will be someone's best man."
"I have such an amazing girlfriend," said Sarah.
"And then there's just the rest of us sitting here with our boyfriends," said Tyler.
"I'm pretty sure I have the best boyfriend here," said Pete.
"But we have Taco Bell at least once a week, we win right there," said Josh.
"I'm voting on Brendon and Dallon," said Patrick.
"Wait, I think I hear him coming, everybody sh-h-h-h," said Hayley, putting a finger over her mouth.
The door opened to reveal Brendon, and he shut the door behind him, and slumped onto Pete's bed, then scooting over next to Dallon, and putting his head on his stomach. Dallon started to run his fingers through Brendon's hair. His hair was actually very soft, Dallon liked it.
"How'd it go?" asked Sarah.
"Better than I thought. He did take it hard though. I feel really bad. . ."
"Dallon always thought he was a douche."
"Goddammit, Hayley, we're trying to be serious," said Dallon."
"I agree, but when he wasn't a douche, he was great. I just hope he finds his special someone."
"So. . . Is it official now?" asked Pete.
"Well, I mean, it was technically official when we first met because the colors-"
"Wait, let me make this special!" yelled Brendon.
He got up from Pete's bed, and pulled Dallon's arm so he'd get up. Dallon stood up while Brendon went down on one knee and took Dallon's hand.
"Dallon Weekes, I have only known you for one week, but I am damn well sure I'm gonna love you a lot in the future, mostly because I have no choice. Will you be my boyfriend?"
"I mean, I don't really have a choice here either, but yeah, sure, what the heck?"
"Goddammit, Dal, just shut up and kiss me."
"Wait! Are you seeing a new color, or am I just now seeing Josh's red hair color?"
"Nope, I see it too. More colors, yay!"
"So about that kiss. . ."
"There are children in the room," said Hayley.
"Patrick and Pete have been practically eating each others faces since Brendon asked me out, and you haven't said anything."
"That's different, if I tell them to stop, Pete will kick me out."
"Touché."
"We can discuss that kiss later," Brendon whispered to Dallon. Dallon blushed as he felt a shiver down his spine when Brendon whispered to him.
Pete and Patrick left the room to make sure people left when the party was over, and they probably fell asleep after everyone left. Everyone else fell asleep in Pete's room, Dallon and Brendon spent a majority of the night talking about pretty much anything.
"Hey, Dallon?"
"Yes, Brendon?"
"Does any of this feel weird to you? Like, just some hours ago, we made our relationship official and we've only known each other for almost a week. It feels. . . too fast, I guess. I know we don't really have a choice, but it's still kind of weird to me, do you get what I mean?"
"I feel the same way. That's just how the world is. I know it's too fast, but we're stuck with each other. Everyone is stuck with their someone, and we have to be okay with that, I guess. Give it some time, and we might feel more better about it later."
"Okay. . . Can you tell me some things about yourself?"
Dallon told Brendon about his "extravagant" personality, as he described it to make Brendon laugh. The two talked about life, telling jokes, and what they'll do when they get out of school. Before they fell asleep, Brendon told Dallon there was no place else he'd rather be. Dallon said him too.
