Chapter 22: I'll Protect You

[Baekhyun's POV]

Valentine's Day is coming and I decided that I will ask Eunmi to be officially be mine. I know our relationship is kind a complicated.

But seeing her close to other guys especially Kris hyung, I feel a little jealous. I know I shouldn't feel like this but I can't help it. Eunmi and I having lunch together. "Ayoo!!" Chen said cheerfully. He came with Chanyeol. Kai and Sehun came along after that. "Aigoo, my Eunmi looks so sulking today? Are you on-" Kai asked. Eunmi looked at him. "What?"

Kai chuckled. "You know-"

"PMS" Sehun said loudly and everyone was looking at our place. Chen smack the maknae head. Sehun groaned in pain and pouted. "SORRY.." Eunmi chuckled. "No I don't have that. I'm fine." she smiled. I turned to look at Chanyeol who's having a headset on his ear. Sehun was about to talk to Chanyeol but Chen didn't let him. I looked back at Eunmi, she's looking at Chanyeol. It's been a while since both of talked. Ever since we came back to the vacation, Chanyeol never spend time with Eunmi.

I thought he's really clingy to her. I don't mind he being clingy because I know Eunmi is special to Chanyeol. Honestly, I've heard the other day when their mother talk about it.

I know both of them are hurt. Seeing my best friend and a crush hurt really makes me sad as well. But, I've never show it. This yoda is being too emotional. "What are you guys planning for Valentine's Day?" Kai asked. "Why? Do you want to confess to that girl that you've been staring?" Chen asked. Kai was blushing. "Ahh, the girl with the blonde hair?" I tease him as well. "Dude, stop drooling." Sehun nudged him. Kai rolled his eyes. "How about you maknae? Why don't you say you like the girl with light brown hair who's in front of you? You keep on talking to her or should I say shattering?"

Sehun widened his eyes and blushed. "Awwh, you guys have a crush." Eunmi said and all of us chuckled. Except Chanyeol. "Valentine is in two days. How about you Chanyeol?" Chen asked Chanyeol and I nudged his legs. He flinched a little and open his headset. "What?"

"Chanyeol hyung, do you have a crush?" Sehun asked. "Yeah, Valentine is coming. What's your plan?" Kai asked. Chanyeol looked at us and sighed. "I don't have any plan. I'm staying at home."

"Awwh, come on Yeol. Maybe you can help us with the music or something." Chen said. "I heard that we need to prepare something for Valentine's day." I said. Eunmi looked at me. "Really? I really want to attend on Valentine's Day."

"You can come with me Eun." I said to her. She smile softly and looked at Chanyeol. "Channie, you know we never miss this event. Will you come as well?"

Chanyeol looked at her coldly. "I won't change my answer." he stood up and left the place. All of us keep in silent. It's an awkward silent. Chen clear his throat. "I'll go and talk to Chanyeol." he stood up and pat Eunmi's shoulder. "Don't worry about him." he smile warmly. Eunmi smile back and nodded. Kai and Sehun just look at us. "Are we missing something?" Kai asked. "Yeah, those tension. I feel so lost." Sehun said. "It's nothing. Come on Hyun, we need to attend the class."

"We? I thought we're in different class?" I said. Eunmi widened her eyes and blushed. "Sorry, I use to said that with Chanyeol." 

I stood up and held her hand. "Come on, we need to go somewhere. You guys need to attend the next class." I told the maknaes. They shook their head. "We know that hyung." Kai said and we left them. I lead Eunmi out from the school. "Wait, are we escaping?" she asked. I nodded. "This is the only place that we won't get caught. You know I'm expert at this." she chuckled and nodded. 

Finally, we escape our place and decide to go to my place. I mean not my house. A place that I always love to go. "Do you remember when we were child I love to hang out here?"

Eunmi smile and nod. "Yes, I didn't know you still like to go here." I smile and held her hand tightly. I should just confess to her right now. "Eun, I need to tell you something." Eunmi look at me. "What is it?"

I turn around and we face each other. I took my breathe deeply. "Park Eunmi, will you be my Valetine?"

Silence

I close my eyes. Maybe I ask her in a wrong time. I feel a hand on my cheek. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Eunmi cry. "Yah, are you hurt?" I ask her in concern and hold her hand on cheek. She smile and hug me tightly. "I've been waiting for you to ask me Baekhyun."

"It's a yes?"

I feel her nod on my chest and I smile widely. I hug her tightly and kiss her forehead. "So, are we official right now?" She asked me.

I kiss her lips.

"Yes, we are official now." She chuckled and pinched my nose. "You naughty Byun."

I kiss her lips once and and I feel like this is an addiction. She slapped my arms. "Stop, you make me embarrassing." She blushed. I chuckled and lift up her chin.

"I promise to you I will protect you Eunmi."

Btw, this book is already been a year published and yet, I haven't complete it yet. This is the longest story that I try to finish. The Annivesary was on 21st February.
