I was staring at the girl in front of me. Brown wavy hair that stops at her mid body, large brown eyes with just the average kind-of beauty. I looked away from the mirror and breathed out.
I'm so happy that Taylor has chosen me among all the pretty girls at school. I'm so lucky to have someone like him love me.
I checked the time on my phone and it read 6:43pm. The game starts at 7. I grabbed my jacket to cover myself from the cold weather outside and grabbed my bag putting my gifts for Taylor inside. Today is our 4th monthsary. I'm planning to surprise him tonight, for our monthsary and for their win. I am confident that they would win tonight, they always do.
I dashed downstairs, grabbing the car and house keys that my mom left on the coffee table. I have borrowed her car while she was out to attend her friend's birthday.
I got into the car and started the engine. I drove down to the streets to my school where the game was being held. 5 minutes later, I have arrived at our school and parked my car on the street. The school's parking lot was full already, leaving me on the street to park with some other cars.
I feel my hands shake from nervousness about tonight. I don't know why I'm nervous, I always surprise Taylor at our every monthsary. I shook away the nervousness, taking a deep breath and got out grabbing my bag.
There is nothing to be nervous about, my mind told me. I nod my head listening to it.
Yeah, there is nothing to be nervous about.
I started my way to our gymnasium. As I got closer to the location, the screams and shouts got louder. I opened the double doors revealing probably hundreds of students. Our gymnasium was big, providing lots of seats. Seats are much more many than the actual students at our school to be ready at a big game like this.
I craned my neck trying to find an empty chair, after searching for a good five minutes I finally found one. I sat on the empty seat immediately before anyone would, there are lots of people trying to find seats too.
Our cheerleaders started to chant as the game was about to start. People at our school cheered loud as our players revealed theirselves. My heart leaped a little when I saw Taylor. He was wearing his everyday face—serious face. I cheered loud as they went to their place. The cheerleaders of the other team started to chant seconds after our cheerleaders were done and seconds later the players of the other team revealed theirselves. Students from the other school cheered for their team loudly, especially the person who was sitting at my right. He stood up and was cheering like crazy. I squirmed on my seat and tried to avoid myself getting hit by his arms that were flailing everywhere.
"That guy is hardcore" The person at my left said to my ear. I jumped slightly at my chair turning towards the person that was wearing a big smile. I felt myself relax when I realized who it was.
"Cameron, you scared me!" I shouted through the shouts. His smile got wider before winking at me. Cameron is my biology seat-mate. We don't really talk that often, just whenever we were paired up to work together for a project.
The guy at my right finally was done cheering for their team and settled himself back on his chair. Cameron and I exchanged glances before bursting out in chuckles.
My eyes swept over the crowd trying to find some more familiar faces aside Cameron's. Mahogany wasn't here because she and her family are having some reunion together.
After finding at least 10 familiar faces my eyes stopped at Taylor. They were listening to their coach who was jotting down their game plan on a small board. The team nodded their heads after their coach was done explaining their game plan and gave out a group fist bump. Some of them ran to the court while some stayed by the benches, waiting for their turn.
