'Mum.' I say and walk over to the kitchen table. 'Yes.' She says blankly. 'Did she ever wake up?' I ask. Mum looks at the floor, 'once.' She says, wiping her eyes. 'Really?' I say. 'She woke up, she was gulping for air, I told her, I love you, she just about said, I love you too.' Mum starts sobbing. 'And then-well you know.' I start crying too. 'I gave her the big room, she deserved it.' I say, mum pulls me into a hug. I look at our gleaming white kitchen, it's not the same without Jessica studying. I walk into our lovely white and blue themed living room, not the same without Jessica watching tv. I walk into the hallway, I walk into the downstairs and upstairs bathrooms, not the same, I walk into the bedrooms, not the same. I collapse on the floor and cry. How am I supposed to manage at the funeral?! The next day I walk to school with Caroline, she doesn't say anything. When we arrive I pull my locker open push my bag in there carelessly and slam in shut, 'isn't there a thing called being over dramatic?!' Caroline snaps. 'MY SISTER FLIPIN DIED, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?! PLEASE TELL ME?!' I scream and shout at her, everyone in the school has their eyes on me, everyone in the school says nothing...silence.
Lizzie is the first to move, 'Tilly.' She gushes and pulls me into a hug, she barely knows me. I accept her hug though. Caroline glares at me, I shoot a look back at her. All of a sudden all the girls are coming up to me, hugging me, telling me they're sorry, I'm not sure what to think, wait yes I do.
