Detective Sass chased the criminal down the alleyways. The criminal charged with all strength just get away. He spotted a ladder on the side of the building and leaped on it climbing up to the roof with Detective Sass following right behind him, cornering him on the roof. "Its done, your cornered. Just turn your self in.
"The detective said walking slowly closer. The criminal seemed un-phased however. He scratched his ear, "Nah, I'll get away from this." He seemed confident and calm. She stepped closer and closer. "How? I have you cornered, you can't jump, its to high and I'm blocking the ladder. Just give up." She said finally charging towards him to arrest him, pulling out paw cuffs. Dropping the bags of money he swiftly grabbed her arm pulling her close against him making her charge come to a halt.
She staid in shock for a moment and looked up at him, he just smiled. She turned bright red and pushed away. She backed up fixing her hat and bow tie. "I bet you think you're smooth don't you?" She said teasingly and smiling walking around him to lower his guard.

He walked around as well opposite of where she was, watching her movements. She was still slight red, the criminal noticed this. "Heh, has anyone told you how adorable you look determined and blushing?" He flirted. "Uh- L-Listen this is important-" She was speaking but the building they were on was playing loud music, like a live band of some sort.
The criminal heard it and tapped his foot, happy as could be. She tried to remain on the task at hand. "Who are you? Why are you stealing from banks, and how?!" She asked. "Heh, you should focus less on work and more on fun!" He grabbed her paw pulling her close against him again. The smoothly started dancing to the 40's music. She was surprised how he danced, it was pretty good. She completely forgot about the arrest and started dancing with him. Tapping there feet, dancing with all hearts. She couldn't help but smile, she was having a lot of fun. So was the criminal, smiling and laughing. "Your pretty good at this!" He said. "Your not bad either you Smooth Criminal." She said keeping the pace. "Smooth Criminal? I like that I just might keep my name that." When the music stopped so did they. She was against him again, her paws in his, nose to nose. Sass looking into his yellow and green eyes, and Smooth looking into her dark blue eyes.
Just then a timer in Smooths pocket went off. They were so caught up in the moment they forgot what they were doing before. She backup red, looking down. He noticed and gently raised her head up with his paw. "Heh, I have to go, I hope we can do this again Beautiful." He said walking off. He grabbed the bags of money he dropped and ran to the edge of the building. He smiled warmly waved quickly and jumped off. She ran to the edge looking down, seeing him land on some old pile of clothes and running off into the night. She sighed and couldn't help but smile too. Off she went back home.

She entered her apartment like before, taking off her coat and hat. She couldn't stop recalling the memory of them dancing. She quickly got a paper and pencil and sketched up a pictures of the criminal. He had long ears, blue nose super fluffy. She drew up a picture of his face and then full body. He kinda looked familiar but she couldn't put her paw on it. She was happy she now has a some what idea of who she is looking for but staid thinking. "I could've stopped him so easily... Why didn't I?... " She leaned back on the chair, then walked off to her room to go to bed, hoping to state anew tomorrow.

Smooth Criminal came back to his small apartment but with no bags of money. He sat on his bed and took off his mask. He was happy as could be. "Heh... If only I could act like that without my mask...." He placed the mask under his bed. Took off his stripped prisoner looking shirt also hiding it under his bed. Went to bed, eager to see Sass again.
