Apartment break in?

Duke trotted down the sidewalk. Humming and singing and dancing as he went. "Count 1,2,3 and don't you stop the music now. Won't you dance with me? Find your place and loose it, won't you dance with me?" He sang coming up to his old torn down. Apartment building. He open the door going to his apartment.

He entered his dark silent home. He raised his paw to switch the lights on. However noticed a light from the kitchen. "What on earth?.." He whispered. He stepped closer to the kitchen noticing his refrigerator wide open. "Must have left it open..." He looked to his right, under the counter seeing his baseball bat. "But for in case..." He grabbed it raising it above his head and walked to the kitchen nearly feet away from the fridge.

He got close enough and swung the door shut on accident meaning to open it more. He raised his bat about to hit anything or anyone there. All he saw was the glow of red eyes. He felt fear and started shaking afraid.
It wasn't attacking however so he quickly jumped back hitting the lights on.

Standing few feet away was, Kitty. She had a sandwich in her mouth, glass of milk in one paw and a bag of chips in the other paw. They stared completely blank at each other half a minute. Then Duke started bursting out laughing dropping his bat down. "You scared the shiz outta me Kitty!!" He leaned on the counter covering his face with his paw.

Kitty flicked her ear and put everything down on the counter laughing. "I scared you? Your the one who scared me!" She said laughing. "How the- this is my apartment how'd you even get in?" Duke asked throwing his paw out at the door. Kitty raised her keys. "You expect me to trust you alone?" She said crossing her arms. Duke grinned and walked off to the living room. "Aww why is dat eh?" Duke asked. "Oh you know why! Robbing on your own, the boss and his goons after you and many many more." Kitty was explaining.
"Alright I get heh. Anyways why are you here?" Duke asked sitting on his mattress couch closing his eyes in relaxation. He switched it on tv, basically for sound.

Kitty took a bite out of her sandwich. "I came to pick you up, the boss wants to see you.." Dukes eye opened revealing his bright yellow eye. "Oh wow I wonder why now..."Duke snarled sarcastically. "Another 'talk' about you debt... You really need to pay him Bib I'm worried. What if he gets to impatient?" Kitty asked while eating. Duke sighed and looked at her.
"I know I know... But what am I gonna do? I don't even have half the amount I need plus you won't let me 'go out'..." He explained looking down. He twiddled his thumbs thinking.  Kitty leaned on the counter thinking.

Suddenly the nightly news came on and a young, female, cat started speaking. "... The past few months have been hard for banks due to the robbery's in the past few months. Banks across the nation have been raising there defenses. Hiring over 860 new body guards. Cops have also been commonly checking up." Screen changes to a young mouse in police uniform. "W-we have raised security, upgraded all cameras and alarms. Our defense is strong there is no way that criminal is getting or even getting out. We are putting a stop to this." Screen changes back to the cat. "News in for the criminal. Its been nearly five weeks now since his robbery at the Barkson Bank... Still have not found the unknown criminal. Detective Sass has been on the case. We will be interviewing her as soon as possible and will you keep you updated on the situation. This is Elena volch on channel 7 news-" Just then Duke and Kitty looked at each other.

Kitty sighed, " We better be going before he gets more upset then he is..." She said. She put on her large leather coat and black fedora and sunglasses. Duke sighed and went to his bed pulling out some cloths from beneath it. He put on his mask, stripped shirt and black cargo pants. "I'm gonna regret going..." Duke mumbled walking out with Kitty right behind him shutting the light off.
