Detective Sass woke up early and headed off to the bank. She decided to investigate one more time. She searched high and low not finding much, however did notice that the vault was filled with bags. She ran up to the in utter confusion. She quickly pulled out her walkie talkie and messaged the manager. "Hey, I found something I'm gonna need you here for questioning. Also bring the intern and janitor too..." She quickly put the device back onto her belt pocket. She stood up waiting for them to get here.

Everyone got there pretty quickly. Sass walked out of the vault into the main room of the bank where everyone was. She counted them to make sure all was attended. "Glen, Serge, kitty... wait where is the intern?" Detective Sass asked looking over them to so if she could spot him. "I couldn't contact him. He didn't answer when I went to his apartment." The co-manager said annoyed. Sass sighed loudly, "Uh... Alright I will go get him, in the mean time everyone stay here." She commanded.

Kitty heard this and leaped up, "I-I can get him!" Sass looked at her a bit confused and responded quickly but nicely, "I'd rather get him, you are also a suspect." Kitty lowered her ears and became slightly nervous.
"You can use my car if you'd like, he lives pretty far." Glen offered. She smirked and thanked him, getting his keys. She went out to the front and jumped in the car and drove off to Duke's apartment.

It was around 7:34 in the morning, Duke launched out of bed from the sound of someone pounding the door loudly. "Uh- i'm up!-" He yelped half asleep. "Hello, this is the police. Open this door!" Someone yelled. He became frantic and nervous, he didn't know what else to do but open the door. "Open up!" The animal yelled. "O-ok! Chill!" Thomas yelled back. So he went up slowly and opened it expecting to see a group of cops wanting to arrest him. He swung it open, ran behind the counter in the kitchen and ducked with eyes shut and ears down. waiting for them to tackle him or something, but all he heard was laughing. He open his eyes and looked up only to his surprise to notice it was Sass Detective. "Ha" She couldn't help but laugh. Duke pouted in embarrassment but then smiled and laugh too. "Well good morning Beauty!" Duke greeted happily to ignore the fact that he was just scared out of his fur. Sass tried to hold back the laughing. "Scared you didn't I? Heh good morning coffee boy." She playfully teased.

Duke just laughed a bit at it all. He finally walked around the counter that was blocking him and stood in front of the doorway. She turned bright red realizing he had no shirt on and could see his muscles. I also forgot and just noticed so he ran by his bed, grabbed a clean shirt and threw it on. "S-sorry...I wasn't expecting company..." He said shyly. Detective Sass shook her head to focus then spoke, "Yeah.. sorry about that... I need to meet you- no I mean I need question you- no I mean, just come with me please..." She asked trying to find the right words. But for some reason it was hard when she was around Thomas. He ran off into the bathroom then came out a few minutes later, cleaned up. "How do I know that you are not gonna be kid knapping me?" He joked to the detective. She just smiled back, "Maybe, maybe not..." She spotted some brown, wool or yarn bags on the the interns floor while looking in. But Duke quickly walked out shutting the door behind him before she could really find snything to bad or suspicious.

They were driving down the town to the bank. It was silent- which made it slight awkward. They staid driving nearly an hour when it should've only tooken fifteen to thirty minutes to get there.

Duke was looking out the window and noticed something odd, "Didn't we pass that building three times now?..." He asked and turned around to look and Sass. He couldn't help but smile a bit, she looked completely lost and confused on where to turn but tried to hide it. She felt him staring and quickly looked at him and back at the road, "Uh- maybe we just passed by that building a lot." She suggested. He laughed loudly, "I could help 'ya! Just let me drive-" He offered before she spoke after. "No, no,no, this isn't my car and I doubt you know how to drive..." She smiled at him giving a sassy look. Which Duke found kinda hot, "Aww come on! Pwease? I have tons of driving experience! I drove a motorcycle hundreds of miles to take high class food to a king!" He shouted happily and proudly. She rolled her eyes and smirked, "You couldn't have, I doubt that cookie boy." She playfully teased. Duke laughed a bit, "OK Maybe not a motorcycle it was a rusty bike and only half a mile, I walked the other half, and the king was some guy nicknamed king- also it was pizza." Sass bursted out laughing. "Best story ever." She joked. Duke nodded 'yes' "Yes, its in the world record for best story ever." He joked which made her laugh more.

Turning his head in confusion, "Where ARE we going anyways?" She replied slowly debating whether or not to tell him. "...We are going to the robbed, closed, bank where the robber was last spotted.." She said still confused on the road.
Duke leaned closer "Aww come on can I drive now? After the story of my adventure you should! Plus I know how to get there" He said excited. She pulled over and looked at him serious, trying to anyways, but couldn't help but smile seeing him being goofy and cute. "Fine. No funny tricks, ok?" She said slowly dropping the keys into his paw. "Yay, thanks!" He jolted out, went around and got in the driver seat. Sass did the same but went to passenger seat.

He starred at everything unsure what button and levers to press and pull. "Do you need some help?" Sass asked leaning closer. Duke dropped his ears and looked at her. He shook his head 'no'. She giggled thinking of adorable he was confused. She watched to see if he'd actually figure it out- he did he messed with it all then sat up and placed his feet on the pedal. He stomped down making the car go quick. "Whoa-" Sass yelped grabbing her hat from flying off. Duke was smiling the whole time. He made a sharp right turn then left and repeated this, as if it was some kinda game. He wasn't even staying in his lane. Suddenly with in not even two minutes, only going down a couple of blocks, the car stopped hard. Sass was leaned back against the seat holding her hat, she looked at Duke Shocked. Duke also was shocked and looked at her. She noticed his Mohawk was blown and messed up and he noticed her fur was also messed up from the wind. The both bursted out laughing. "Your hair is so fancy Thomas!" Sass joked. "Yours is too Sass!"

They staid laughing. "(Clears through) Its been nearly two hours, this is no time to be flirting and goofing off with your boyfriend! I hired you for a case now let's get moving!" A large green lizard in a tuxedo said annoyed. Sass blushed brightly, "N-no h-his not my boy-" she tried to explain. The lizard spoke over, "I did not ask now lets get moving!" He said rudely turning around and walking into the bank. She hide her face in her paws. Duke watched him go and growled at him.
The lizard was very tall with a black suit and fedora and bright blue eyes with a scar across his left eye.
Duke quickly swirled around at Sass seeing her hide her face. "Why are you hiding your beauty?" Duke said rubbing her back.
"I'm blushing..." She mumbled through her paws. "Hehe even better! Come on-" Duke was saying lifting her head up at him. She looked up not as red but still slightly. Something about him lifting her head recalled a memory. But it quickly went off as she saw him lean in, just then though the lizard yelled out the door, "Any day now Detective!" He slammed the door and Sass jumped back. Duke pulled back also embarrassed. "Oy, you better get inside, Sass...who is that jerk anyways?" Duke tried to make of less awkward and distract from what just happened. Sass sighed loudly, "He is one of the high chiefs for the police... my boss, Rick.. and.. you can call me Tori..." She said fixing her hat and hopping off the car. Duke unbuckled himself and hopped out as well. "Tori? That's a good pretty name, for a pretty lady like you." He flirted. She smiled at him but also couldn't help but laugh at his messed up hair. He noticed she was laughing at his hair and fixed it quickly. "Thanks.. now let's go before that grumpy old lizard comes back." Tori said happily walking into the bank with Duke by her side.
