-The Next Morning @ Cassie's House-
Toya POV
I woke up and took care of hygiene and Cassie helped me pick an outfit to wear.
Cassie: Let's see..
Cassie started going through the bags and picked out a sleeveless Chanel crop top, American flag shorts, white converse, and a black studded clutch to go along with it. (Outfit at the top)
Cassie then took me to the mirror to do my makeup and hair.
We ended up curling it and dying it brown with chestnut highlights. It was cute if I do say so myself.
She then looked at my face before deciding to put red lipstick on me, using foundation, a contour kit, eyeliner, white eye shadow, and silver studs in my ears.
She even did my eyebrows.
After about 15 more minutes, she was done.
I looked at myself in the mirror and admired my beauty.
"Wow.." was all I could say.
Cassie: You look gorgeous. Now come on so we won't be late for school! I just know the boys are gonna be all over you today!
Toya: Don't say that.
I rushed behind her and grabbed my phone and backpack and we got in her car and rode to school listening to what I believe was Bryson Tiller.
As soon as we pulled up into the parking lot, I took a deep breath.
"I can do this. I can do this." I kept telling myself.
Soon, I found my way inside the school with Cassie right by my side.
People were staring at me like always, but now it was because I actually looked nice.
I heard comments from people like, "Woah. She cleans up nice." & "Damnnn she fine." & some girls even gave nasty comments like "Who does she think she is?"
I smiled to myself as I headed to Ms. Brown's class.
As I made my way to my desk, I noticed all eyes were on me.
My teacher even glanced at me as if she didn't know it was me.
Ms. Brown: Oh um, I didn't know we got a new student.
I guess she was referring to me because everyone turned around looking at me.
Toya: Ms. Brown, Its me. Toya...
Ms. Brown: Oh my! Excuse me. You just look so different!
Toya: It's fine.
I smiled at her as she returned to her lesson plan for the day.
I guess this new look could be something positive.
Hopefully my parents won't be too mad about my new hair though...
-At Lunch-
Toya POV
I was sitting with Cassie eating lunch and Jordan West came up to us.
Jordan: Ayo ladies, its a party at my place this weekend on Friday night. It starts at 7. Be there or be square.
And with that, he walked off.
Cassie: Ooh! Sounds like fun. We should go Toya.
Toya: Um..I'd have to find a way to sneak out of the house...
Cassie: Just Tell your parents that you're spending the whole weekend with me.
Toya: I have church Sunday. I can't stay the whole weekend.
Cassie: Just say you're not feeling good and stay at home.
Toya: Yeah, like they'll believe that.
Cassie: You've gotta start living Toya. You might actually like it. And who knows, maybe you'll meet someone there.
I smiled shyly and held my head down.
I have to break out of my shell someday..
Cassie: Now, we may need to buy outfits for the party.
Toya: You practically just bought me a whole new wardrobe yesterday..
Cassie: I know, but this is your big debut. You have to slay for this party Friday!
Toya: I guess...
