Toya POV
I was laying in bed thinking about what Brittany had told me when my phone interrupted my thoughts.Rakim: Can I see you tonight?
Me: I don't think that's a good idea Rakim.
Rakim: And why is that?
Me: Look Rakim, I don't have to explain myself...
Rakim: To be honest with you, I think I atleast deserve a reason.
Me: Ummm...
Rakim: Look, lemme take you out..Just this one time.
Me: ...What time you wanna meet up?
Rakim: 7.
Me: Where are we going?
Rakim: Is Red Lobster okay with you?
Me: Yeah
Rakim: See you soon.

I took a deep breath and slowly approached the couch.
Toya: Hey...umm...I was wondering if I could uh- ask if I can go help Cassie out with her mom. She just got released from the hospital and I want to make sure that she's doing okay and if Cassie needs help with anything around the house...
