Toya POV
I was laying in bed thinking about what Brittany had told me when my phone interrupted my thoughts.

Rakim: Can I see you tonight?

Me: I don't think that's a good idea Rakim.

Rakim: And why is that?

Me: Look Rakim, I don't have to explain myself...

Rakim: To be honest with you, I think I atleast deserve a reason.

Me: Ummm...

Rakim: Look, lemme take you out..Just this one time.

Me: ...What time you wanna meet up?

Rakim: 7.

Me: Where are we going?

Rakim: Is Red Lobster okay with you?

Me: Yeah

Rakim: See you soon.

And with that, the call was over. I got up and started pacing back and forth in my room wondering how I was going to sneak out tonight. I can't use the project excuse again. Ugh...

I thought about just sneaking out, but if I get caught I'd never hear the end of it or be able to go anywhere for a long time.

I looked around the room and then, I figured out what I was going to do. I was going to say I was going to help Cassie with her mom since she was sick.

I walked down the stairs and went into the living room and saw my mom and dad laying on the couch watching tv.

I took a deep breath and slowly approached the couch.

Toya: Hey...umm...I was wondering if I could uh- ask if I can go help Cassie out with her mom. She just got released from the hospital and I want to make sure that she's doing okay and if Cassie needs help with anything around the house...
