Toya POV

After texting Cassie, she told me that the spare key to her house was under the mat.

I had been inside for about an hour now.

I looked at the time on my phone and it read 1:15 A.M. Saturday, September 15, 2016.

I took a shower and brushed my teeth and hopped in bed in the guest bedroom.

I leaned over and put my phone on the charger and fell asleep.

10:34 A.M.

Toya POV

I had just woke up & rolled over to see the love of my life. My phone.

I checked my notifications and saw that I had a message from Rakim.

-Text Messages-

Rakim: GoodMorning Beautiful.

Toyaaa: GoodMorning.

-End Of Messages-

I locked my phone and got dressed and did my hygiene.

I put on some sweatpants and a regular pink t-shirt and some lowtop black converse.

I let my hair hang down in long curls and put on a little lip gloss and pearl earrings.

I went to the room and finally got my wallet out of my other purse and looked inside of it.

I had about $50 and my emergency credit card.

I decided to go home to my house since tomorrow would be Sunday.

I packed up some of my regular clothes to make it look like I'd been wearing the ugly clothes all week.

I grabbed my purse and my phone and called a cab.

11:00 A.M.

Toya POV

I paid the cab driver ten bucks as I arrived to my house.

As I got out the cab, I stood in the yard and took a deep breath before I walked to the door and went inside.

Mom: Well look who's home.

Toya: Hey mom...

Mom: Hey, how did the project thing go?

Toya: Oh um, we did good. We got an A.

Mom: That's good.

As me and mom were talking, dad walked into the kitchen.

Dad: Hey babygirl.

Toya: Hey dad.

Dad: Did you have fun at Cassie's house?

Toya: Yeah I did.

Mom: They got an A on their project honey. Isn't that wonderful?

Dad: That's great.

Toya: Thanks dad..

I didn't wanna be interrogated with their questions any further since I'm not very good at lying.

I went upstairs to my room when my sister Brittany walked in.

Toya: Hey sis.

Brittany is actually only 1 year younger than I am, and James is only 1 year younger than Brittany is. Brittany is 16, and James is 15.

Brittany: Hey. Where have you been the last couple of days?

Toya: I've just been with Cassie at her house. Why what's up?

Brittany: Nothing. Look I'm not gonna tell mom & dad, but did you go to Jordan's party last night?

Toya: Yeah, I did actually. How'd you know?

Brittany: Because some of my friends were there and they said they saw you dancing with some boy.

Toya: Yeah, well you guys don't have to worry about that. You already know mama & daddy ain't gone let none of us date until we're 21.

Brittany: True. It isn't right. I'm not saying go do it anyways, but Toya, don't you wanna be a normal teenager? I'm actually jealous that you got to go to that party. Don't you want to have a boyfriend? Don't you want to be able to go to the mall and buy normal teenager clothes & go on double dates with your bestfriend? Don't you want to go out on Friday nights & just be a teenager. I mean seriously. You haven't even had your first kiss. None of us have.

Toya: I mean, yeah it bothers me that we aren't like other teenagers and that we don't get to do normal teenager activities, but I try to respect mom & dad's wishes..

Brittany: I understand. Hey, you think you can take me to one of those parties one day?

Toya: Sure. Why not?

Brittany leaned over and hugged me.

Brittany: Thanks Toya.

Toya: You're welcome.
