Toya POV

I followed Rakim to the driveway where he parked his car.

He stopped at a 2016 black Nissan Maxima.

He unlocked the doors and we both hopped inside.

I buckled my seatbelt as he did the same.

He turned the car on with a button by the steering wheel and his radio came on.

I listened closely to hear what was playing and it sounded like Don't by Bryson Tiller.

I hummed along to the song as I looked out the window.

Rakim turned it up a little bit as he backed out the driveway and headed down the road.

Rakim: You like this song?

Toya: Something like that.

I didn't say anything else until Rakim spoke up.

Rakim: Aye what's yo address?

I thought for a second and decided to give him Cassie's address. I wouldn't dare have him pull up at my house one day.

Toya: It's 126 Parker Drive.

I looked over at him as he entered the address into the GPS.

Rakim: So uh, what school you go to?

Toya: River Valley High School.

Rakim: Oh forreal? I used to go there.

Toya: Really? What school you go to now?

Rakim: I dropped out of school a while back shorty.

Tonya: Oh, sorry for asking.

Rakim: Nah it's cool. Tell me about yourself.

Toya: I'm 17 years old. I live with my mom and dad and two siblings. I plan on going to college next year in the fall. What about you?

Rakim: I live by myself. Pops never really was around ya know? Mama still alive. I live by myself in my apartment. I'm 19. I like to rap.

Toya: You have your own place?

Rakim: Yeah.

I stayed silent for the rest of the ride until I saw Cassie's house.

Rakim: This your house, right?

Toya: Yeah. Thanks again for the ride.

Rakim: Don't mention it. Aye, you sure I can't see you again?

Toya: No Rakim, I don't think so.

Rakim: Oh, well I had a good time hanging out with you tonight.

Toya: I did too.

I got out of his car and shut the door and walked onto Cassie's porch and acted like I was unlocking the door until he drove off.

Now how am I going to get inside?
