i wake up, rubbing the tired out of my eyes. i yawn and blink blearily as i take in my surroundings.

i take in the scruffy blond boy lying next to me, soft snores falling out his mouth innocently. i run my fingers through his short beard.

he stirs slightly in his sleep but his bright blue eyes don't open. he jolts awake when we both hear an uncontrollable vibrating.

my eyes dart over to my phone, the screen is lit up and it's vibrating so much that if i were a woman, i would stick it up my vagina and use it as a vibrator.

"who's texting you so early in the morning?" luke asks huskily. "not a boy i'm hoping."

i laugh at his joke. "don't worry, i can assure you that no good-looking guy has any interest in me."

"that's a lie," luke smiles endearingly. "because i consider myself a good-looking guy and i definitely have an interest in you."

i smile so wide that my mouth hurts. my heart flutters and i feel elated. as i read the messages on my screen, my sense of happiness is gone.

my smile completely erases itself and is replaced with a deep frown.

"what's wrong?" luke asks, snatching the phone from my hands and reading over the messages himself.

i tackle him down and try to grab the phone back but he pins me back and continues reading; his eyebrows lowering and his eyes hardening with every passing second.

"luke. luke give me back my phone," i demand shakily.

"you knew," luke says steely.

he looks up and gives me such a cold look, i nearly shiver. it's so full of emotion; sadness, betrayal and anger.

"you knew all along and you never told me," luke glares at me, scooting back and away from me.

"it's not what it looks like," i blurt.

it's the worst possible thing to say but my scumbag brain couldn't think of anything better.

"that's exactly what bryana said when i caught her cheating. you guys are the same; you're both lying backstabbers." luke says, his voice jagged and sharp.

"i made a promise, i couldn't break it. i really wanted to tell you luke, please don't get mad." i beg.

i try to reach out for him but he retreats like my touch is acid.

"god was right all along. gays are worthless cunts that don't deserve to live. get the fuck away from me you spawn of satan." luke hisses venomously at me.

he slips his sweatshirt over his thin shirt. he gives me one last angry glare before he turns around and storms out the room.

he doesn't take a few steps away when calum comes bustling out his room, completely naked. calum's whistling as he strolls around casually.

i'm use to this behaviour, calum and i have seen each other naked too many times to keep count. luke on the other hand has probably only seen one penis in his life; his own.

just like i thought, luke's eyes bulge out his head when he sees my naked roommates. he looks downright terrified and a strangled scream escapes his throat.

calum's caught off guard when he sees a stranger in our house and he screams too.

i scream too because everyone else was screaming and i didn't want to be left out.

luke turns around and stumbles down the stairs. i assume he remembers the way to the front door because i can hear it being slammed shut after he runs away.

"damn michael, you're having affairs with the police officer now? no wonder, you haven't gotten a ticket in the past month." calum teases, winking teasingly.

i smile weakly at him.

i'm not paying attention to him, instead i look out the window where i catch luke scrambling to unlock his car.

he happens to glance up at the window that i'm pressed against and he grimaces. i half heartedly wave a goodbye.

he sticks up his middle fingers in reply.
