Chapter 8: Not So Great News

(Elizabeth's POV)

What could Jaime possibly have to tell us? I mean his mind is full of some weird and sometimes interesting shit. Tony helped me out of my bed and when I stood up, he entwined his fingers with mine. I was a little shocked at first. I looked at him and he was looking at me, smiling. I blushed and we walked downstairs, hand in hand. When we reached the bottom, everyone was staring at us. "What? Friends can't hold hands?" I said. I looked up at Tony and he seemed a little sad that I said "friends." I winked at him and he smiled. We then walked over to the couch and sat down. He immediately wrapped his arm around me and I snuggled up to him and giggled a bit. I could very easily get used to this.

-"Okay then. I wish that SOME PEOPLE weren't acting so weird, but let's all get ready for what Jaime has to say." Mike said. 

-"Right. Vic and Mike, please come up here with me." Jaime said and the Fuentes brothers stood up and went into the middle of the living room with Jaime. "I really hope everyone is happy with this. Girls, parents and Tony...meet Pierce the Veil." Jaime said.

-"No way! Seriously?!" Pierce yelled with excitement on her face.

-"Yep. We are the band Pierce the Veil." Vic said.

-"Oh my gosh guys, this is so great! I'm so proud of you!" Nadia said and hugged Jaime. Pierce then hugged Mike and Christina hugged Vic.

-"Well we have some more news. Tony?" Jaime asked and I looked at Tony. He looked confused.

-"Um...yes?" He asked.

-"Would you do the honor of being our guitar player, along with Vic?" He asked Tony. His eyes went wide. He just sat there in disbelief for what seemed like ages, until he finally answered.

-"Y-yes, of course!"

-"YES!!" Vic, Mike and Jaime said at the same time. Tony got up and bro-hugged them all before pulling me up from the couch and bear hugging me.

-"Tony...can't...breathe." I said and he put me down.

-"Sorry."

-"Don't be." I said and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

-"Aaaaawww!!" Everyone awed. Even my parents!

-"Okay, we have one more thing to tell you guys. And Tony, we hope you're in. We're gonna tell you first so come here." Jaime said and Tony went over to the rest of the guys.

-"Uh huh...yeah...really?...of course I'm in!" Tony said.

-"Ok great. Now to tell everyone else." Mike said.

-"Guys, what's going on?" I asked while still smiling from excitement.

-"Girls and parents...we've decided that after we finish this year of high school, we are moving to San Diego to start our music career."

I was in complete shock. The smile disappeared from my face and I couldn't speak. Everyone was happy except for me. How could they do this to me? The only friends that I have are moving across the country and there was nothing that I could do about it. Tony came over to me with a gigantic smile on his face. All I could do was start crying. I didn't want him to leave. He went to grab my hand, but I just yanked it away from him. "DON'T FUCKING TOUCH ME, YOU ASSHOLE!!" I yelled at him, causing everyone to stare at me.

I ran up to my bedroom, tears streaming down my face. I slammed my door shut and pushed my giant dresser in front of it so no one could come in. I just collapsed onto my bed and started sobbing uncontrollably. Jaime lied to me. He said that he would never leave me alone on this  planet. And why in the WORLD would Tony agree to go with him?! Don't they care about me? Did they ever stop to think that maybe this decision may hurt the ones who love them the most? NO! THEY DIDN'T!

I sat up on my bed with my back against the headboard and I stared at the door. Then something came to mind. Something I've been doing for a couple of months now. I got up and went to the bathroom and immediately started looking through my make up bag. Then, I found it. My friend. My sharp, shiny friend. It had dry blood all over it. My blood. I rinsed my "friend" off and it looked as good as new. "Just one deep cut...and this will all be over." I told myself.
