Chapter 17: Can't Get You Out Of My Head

(Tony's POV)

I just can't stop thinking about Liz. She was so perfect with her beautiful red hair, amazing blue eyes, her soft pale skin...and now she's gone and I may never see her again. I just don't understand what I did wrong. I know that her suicide note said basically that it was because I was leaving her by herself, alone in the world. But...I fucked things up bad.

I wish I just had one more night with her. To tell her that I love her more than anything in the world. That she'll never be alone as long as she knows that there are people who love her, even thought she may not feel that way. She is loved more than she thinks...she just can't see it. God Liz, I miss you so much. I forgive you for everything. I just hope you find it somewhere in your heart to forgive me for being so cruel to you...

(Vic's POV)

None of the guys know this, but...I have Liz's phone number. When we were talking in Jaime's hospital room that day, she hugged me. I went to grab her hand and I guess that was a good thing because she slipped a note into my hand. Then she left. When I got home, I went into my room and read the note. It said:

"Vic, I'm sorry that I am leaving and that we won't be seeing each other for a long time. I hope everything goes well with Pierce the Veil and that you guys get well known. Who knows, maybe one day I'll go to one of your concerts. Also, let me know if you and Christina ever see each other anytime soon. I want to know how the proposal goes...if of course you're still planning on proposing. Anyways, thank you for being there for me. You and Mike always were like brothers to me and you'll always be like that. I love you Vic. I'll see you again someday. I promise.

The note did make me sad. Knowing that I won't be seeing Liz for a long time broke my heart. We grew up together basically since Jaime and I have been best friends since the first grade.

San Diego has been pretty good. Mike and I got jobs at a Mexican restaurant, Tony got a job at a music store, and Jaime got a job at an Italian restaurant. No wonder he did, that kid loves food. We had all saved up money back home so when we got to San Diego we would have enough money to be able to rent an apartment for a few months. We all know not to spend the money that we earn at the jobs we have on stupid shit.

Also, we got signed to a record label! We were so excited. BEYOND excited. We were just so happy that someone thought we were good enough! The label is called Equal Vision Records. We were just playing a gig one night at this restaurant and after we were done a man approached us, told us who he was, and said that he was interested in hearing more. He gave us an address and told us to meet him there the next day at two o'clock. So, we did. He had us show his boss what we were capable of and before we knew it, we were signed. I have a feeling that Pierce the Veil has a bright future ahead of them.
