Katie's POV

Where am I? What just happened?

My eyes slowly opened to see I was standing in the Stone Table room. I was so confused, because I wasn't at the battle with the others. I heard a soft sound and I looked to my left to see it was Lucy who was staring at her cordial.

I slowly walked over to her and said, "Lucy, is everything all right?" I waited a few seconds for her to answer me, but shockingly she didn't speak a word. I waved my hand to her face and said, "Hello, can you hear me?"

I reached over to touch her... and to my surprise, my hand when right through her. That's when I realized that this must be a vision. I heard something outside and I looked to see Lucy running out of the room. Without even thinking, I ran right after her. The heat of the sun hit me when I stepped outside. A tremor overtook my gasp at the sight of our army slowly walking toward us. They all looked so beaten, pain and sorrow causing their feet to drag across the ground. My eyes widened with despair to see how small our army was now. Our numbers reduced twice the size. I looked at both Peter and Caspian to see exhaustion plague their features, along with grief and anger.

"What happened?" Lucy asked her eldest brother.

Peter glared at the young prince and said, "Ask him."

I looked at Peter in shock to see that he was making Caspian take all the blame. Everyone, except for Caspian, looked at my boyfriend and slightly took a step back. It looked as though war would break out between them.

Susan sighed and tried to be the voice of reason. "Peter-"

Caspian however interrupted her and slightly glared at Peter. "Me? You could have called it off. There was still time."

Peter continued to walk forward as he replied harshly,"No there wasn't thanks to you. If you'd kept to the plan, those soldiers might be alive right now. Katie would have been alright!"

Wait, excuse me? Katie would be what, I thought to myself. Lucy looked slightly concerned as she asked her brother, "What happened to Katie?"

Peter turned to his youngest sister and he was shaking in fear and rage. "She...Katie was..."

Caspian marched up to Peter and grabbed his arm, forcing their eyes to meet. "What happened to Katie was not my fault! Katie should have been standing here with me!"

The whole place became so quiet. I looked at Caspian wondering where he was going with this. Peter slowly started to glare at the prince and shook with rage.

"What are you implying?" snarled Peter.

Caspian stared down at Peter and said, "You have been nothing but horrible to her. I've seen it and so has everyone else. Katie deserves better than you."

"Oh yeah, then please tell me who is the man who should be with my girlfriend?"

"Me, Katie should be with me," said Caspian.
