Tears were streaming down Lila's cheeks, and she threw her arms around the woman she once knew. The woman started crying too, and hugged Lila tightly. "Baby girl." She whispered when Lila pulled herself away. "Mother." Lila whispered back. Lila's mother threw her arms around her again, and Lila hugged her back.
Lila looked over at her friends, now realizing she had an audience. "Lila?" Kylie asked, confused. Faith's eyes were shining. The tears were still streaming down Lila's cheeks as she realized her teacher stood beside her mother. "What are you doing here?" She asked. Lila's mother looked at Mrs. Macy. "April? How does Lila know you?" She asked. April Macy smiled. "I'm a teacher. You know that Lily." Lila's mother, Lily, looked at April, confused. "That doesn't explain anything." She said. "I was Lila's homeroom teacher. I had to keep watch over my niece." April said. Lila gasped and looked back at her mother. "What?" She asked. Lily sighed. "Lila, meet my sister, your Aunt April." Lily introduced. "I have an aunt?" Lila asked, confused.
"Dear, go home, to your house, with your mother and aunt." Faith said. Lila looked at her, then took her mother's hand. "Fine." She said.Once everyone had left, Lily quickly teleported them back to Lila's home. Lila sat down at the kitchen table. "Why did you leave me?" She asked her mother. Lily looked at her daughter. "Because, studies show that it is a lot easier for a young fairy to learn without another fairy around." She said. "After Lila... I knew I had to go. Being a fairy, it was easy to fake my death. Then I moved in with my sister." She said, pointing to April. "What about Dad?" Lila asked. "And Liam?" Lily sighed. "Your father... I didn't hear about that till recently. I assure you, I had not a thing to do with that." Lily said sadly. "And your brother, well, he didn't pass his test. Plain and simple." April said. "Why did you come here now?" Lila asked. "Because you passed your test Lila. And you did it all on your own." Lily said. Lila smiled, and gave her mom another hug.
