Chapter 14

Grayson's pov

I new Scarlett wasn't asleep because I've checked on her before, on the first night she came here. See that makes me sound like a creep but I'm not my mum asked me to check on her.

When she's actually asleep she curls up in a ball with the blanket and a small teddy bear over her head, with her head pocking out the top.

Not going to lie though I did stand there for a little bit and to be honest with you she's really cute when she sleeps.

When I poked my head around the door when I got back from the basketball court you could tell she wasn't asleep.

She was lying on her stomach with her head berried in the pillow under her and another pillow on her head.

See she thinks I'm stupid but I'm not I catch things really quick.

And she's bound to come downstairs for a drink or something to eat because she always does in the middle of the night it's like a nightly routine, she's crafty I'll tell you that.

Everyone went to bed and I told mum I was doing homework and I always do my homework in the kitchen.

Once everyone was out the room I snuck to the games room and sat behind the door with it open a tiny bit.

I was sat there about 35 minutes until she finally came down her set of stairs.

It's annoying that her bedrooms up in the attic but at the same time it's good because maybe when we get a better friendship we could sit up there and talk.

I use to sneak up there in the night and sit on the ruff and either drink or just listen to the birds.

It's the best thing to do especially when you've got a twin brother like Ethan who goes to bed really early and snores in his sleep.

I heard a creak on the stairs and that's when I new she was on her way to the kitchen.

The second I heard her walk past the games room door I opened it and grabbed hold of her from behind covering her mouth so she doesn't scream.

When I turned the light on and turned her around she didn't scream she just frozen then said my name

"Shush don't say anything just come sit down" I said whilst heading towards the couch.

"Grayson I've got to go to bed, I've got school tomorrow" she was about to leave but I grabbed her wrist and pulled her next to me.

"Gray-" I cut her off by placing my hand over her mouth.

"Scarlett you are going to sit here and when your ready I'm here" she obviously was confused "just think ok" I removed my hand when she rolled her eyes.

Scarlett's PoV

I did try and leave but he said he wants me to stay and think.

Like what exactly does he want me to say? Does he want me to open up to him?

Because if that's what he wants he can piss off because I'm not ready.

"Scarlett please just open up to me" how did I know.

I shook my head then looked down at my hands "I'm not ready" he grabbed hold of my hand with one hand and raised my head by my chin with his other hand.

"Scarlett I won't judge, I'm not like that" I could feel my face going bright red when he run his thumb across my cheek.

"You wouldn't understand" I pulled my hand away and my head away from his touch.

"Scarlett at least explain to me how that guy new your name today and explain to me why you punched him" my eyes widened remembering what happened today.

I just ignored him and just sat there in silent "has he hurt you before?" I shot my head up and frowned at him.

"What no, I don't know who that guy is and I told you I hit him because he touched me" he verdantly doesn't believe me because he sighed and grabbed hold of both my hands this time.

"Scarlett I know when your lying, I know we haven't known each other that long but I can pick up all your little traits in seconds, I know when your nervous, awkward, anxious, sad and lying to me so please just tell the truth" I can't lie, what am I going to do.

Should I tell him?

Should I open up?

But if I open up I know I'll end up crying because it brings back so many memories.

And he might not like me very well after?

"Right before we start, be prepared ok" he nodded "no I mean it, you might not like me very much after this"
