Heartbreak

Kat's POV

I pulled out my music from my bag, setting it on my foldable stand.

"Kat, someone's here for you by the name of..what was your name again sweetie?" My mom said.

"It's Jerome." A voice said. I heard footsteps climb up the stairs.

"Hey Jerome!" I said, giving him a wave. "Mom, this is one of the new kids, Jerome. Another one lives two houses away from us, that's Max." I informed her. She nodded and went back to her work out in the porch. I looked to see Jerome had his saxophone with him.

"I was wondering if we could practice, I'm not really understanding some of the music." He said, looking a little embarrassed. I giggled at him.

"It's fine, I'll help, I was just about to practice my clarinet anyways. Good timing." I said and gave him a grin, leading him to my room.

"Wow, you're such a nerd." Jerome said, looking at all the video game posters I have on my wall.

"I prefer the term "geek" if you may." I corrected him. "Your lucky I'm not pulverizing you right now for calling me a nerd." I growled and sat down, giving Jerome some space to sit too.

One hour and a half later

Jerome finally got down the songs an hour and a half later. It was exhausted. I shifted uncomfortably on the edge of my bed as Jerome's shoulder rubbed against mine.

"Ok, I think I've got this down its just-" before he could finish his sentence, I heard someone scream and push Jerome and I over. I screamed and fell, Jerome landing on top of me. As I made contact with the floor, I looked up to see Jerome inches from my face. The ground jerked me up and before I knew it my lips made contact with his. Jerome caught himself with his elbows, looking as if we wanted to do that, and trust me, I didn't.

"Kat I'm here-....." I heard a voice say. "K-Kat?" The voice choked. Jerome got off of me and I looked to see Sammy, tears flooding down her cheeks.

"S-Sammy, it's not what it looks like." I tried explaining.

"No, I know exactly what it looks like." She said and ran out, trailing tears behind her.

"JACKIE!" I yelled and turned to my sister hiding beneath the covers.

"Y-Yea?" She stuttered. I growled and lunged at her, pinning her arms and legs down.

"Don't, do, that, ever, again!" I snapped and she looked as if to burst in tears too. I jumped off and started pacing around, thinking of ways to get Sammy back.

Sammys POV

I ran down the street tears flooding from my eyes me gasping my breath, the sound of pounding feet from me, Kat and Jerome running and me gasping for breath were the only sounds I could here I didn't have time to call my mom I really like Jerome and Kat she...kissed him...and they way she looked at me staring at him I knew that she knew that I liked him.

"Sammy!" She called as she and Jerome chased me passed the center of town, I finally ran out of breath and the town green so I sat in the muddled of the bandstand as her and Jerome climbed up the steps of it "dang girly you can run" Kat said "Sammy are you okay?" Jerome asked "go away" I mumbled placing my arms on my knees and hiding my face in my arms "Sammy it was an accident I wouldn't kiss him on purpose I know you like him." Kat said I told her she was a lier "Sammy Jackie...she screamed spooking us...we fell and then Jackie pushed us up and...that happened when she noticed she hid and right when that happened you walked in...you know I would never do that to you." I looked up at me with her red puffy eyes the sound of cars passing by kind of tensed me up I knew anyone could come at any minute and I can get mad at certain people the wrong person and I would not be happy.

I was about to speak when the worst voice of all came Chris. He thought I was dating one of our friends and I hate because Im not and that's why Kat say it to get me mad but...not Chris..."hey Kat Na..." I cut him off "GO AWAY CHRIS CANT YOU SEE IM UPSET!" I yelled at him

Nathan finally caught up with us and looked at me "why is she crying?" He asked "who are people?" Asked Jerome  "our friends" I mumbled getting up "have a happy dating life I'm going to walk home and cuddle Guinness and cry myself to sleep" I announced drying of my tears and walked towards my street "ew" Jerome and Kat stepped away from each other "Sammy wait" Kat said, I didn't stop just kept walking "Sammy!" Kat had an edge to her voice but I still kept walking "Samantha if you don't stop I will tackle you!" I froze.

"I stopped I stopped I froze" I said putting my hands in the air and turning to her "you have to be live me Sammy" she said calming down "I don't know if I can" I whispered "of course you can Sammy you know I would never hurt you" I nodded. Tears formed again "I know" I gasped "I know Kat I was just hurt I'm sorry I had a heartbreak" I fell into her arms "shhh it's okay Sammy shhhh Kitties here."
I pulled away after a few minutes the shoulder of her shirt was wet with tears and Jerome placed a hand on my shoulder "Sammy..." He began but my dad cut him off "Sammy why are you at the center? I thought you were sleeping over at Kats?" He asked. I realized it was only 5:30 and dad was picking Joey up from after care "oh yah dad we decided to hang out here for a while" I lied he shrugged as he and Joey drove home.

"Can we go back?" I asked "yup...bye Nate, Chris" Kat took my hand and Jerome took my other and we all walked to Kats place. "Sammy" said Jerome once we finally reached Kats doorstep. Kat went inside but I saw her watch from the top of the stairs along with her dogs Sammy (yes his name is Sammy) and Lucky.

"Yes Jerome?" I asked "I know your mad at me" I pointed to my heart "broken" I said he took my hand "Sammy" he chuckled "your so cute and funny so will you be my..." "Your what" "I was getting to that will you be my girlfriend" I hugged him "Yesssss" I said he laughed as we walked inside.

"Sammy, Kat, sorry dear what's your name again?" Asked Kats mom as we all sat at the kitchen table for dinner "Jerome" Kat, Jerome and I sang "oh yah well Jerome would you like to sleep over with the girls?" "Can I invite two more friends mom?" Asked Kat after Jerome said yes "sure" "I'll invite Max and Mitch!" I giggled as Kat stumbled to get to her phone.
