"Izzy, have you seen my blue heels?" I asked in a mad panic as the banging on the door got louder.

"No but for gods sake hurry up before they knock the bloody door down" she replied, clearly frustrated by my unorganization.

"Fine, i'll just wear my black wedges" i sighed, grabbing the shoes from beneath a back of freshly washed clothes.

Izzy practically pushed me out the door and into Emily who was wearing a tight, mid thigh length black dress with a laced back. Her hair was left natural, and so was her make up except for smokey eyes. She had on a pair of flat shoes, still refusing to wear heels at the age of 19.

Izzy was wearing a just above the knee, long sleeved, lacy dark blue dress with white heels, making her the same as my average height. She had dark eye make up and glittery pink lips.

I was wearing a strapless dress, with a tight bodice and poofy skirt that almost went down to my knee. I would've worn my blue heels to match the colour, but i'd just have to search for them later. I had blood red lips, and soft blusher and eye makeup.

We looked pretty good if i do say so myself.

Molly had already gone ahead with her boyfriend, Liam. They'd been together since we started here, almost a year. He was so protective over her as she was so shy, it was simply adorable.

We hobbled into the lift, not wanting to trip down the stairs. I gripped the sides, my fear of lifts still active in my mind. It was over quickly and we stepped out together and walked in the direction of tonight's freshers party.

Izzy was practically addicted to party's, especially freshers which were pretty much initiation for the lower class men. A chance for the older students to label everyone. I wasn't a big fan myself, missing most of them last year even though they were my own, but Izzy insisted i came.

We approached the building, obviously tenant to a wild party already. There were flashing lights inside and you could hear the music from across the street.

The door was left wide open, se we let ourselves in. The house was heavily crowded, already the sea of people was washing out onto the green outside. I stepped over legs and squeezed my way past broad shoulders and large groups, elbow first to clear my path. Emily spotted Molly in a corner, sitting on Liam's lap, so we made our way over to them.

Molly looked beautiful. Her hair was softly curled and her make up was subtle. She was wearing a knee length red dress, the skirt loose, with matching red kitten heels.

Liam looked very handsome tonight. He'd left his fluffy hair alone, and under the lights his chocolate brown eyes looked gorgeous. He was wearing a button down shirt and khakis, the same as most of the other guys here.

I was so used to seeing them together now, limbs interlocked like they were molded together. Liam was stroking the back of her hand with his thumb subconsciously, now a natural habit of his. It was true that we now saw Molly less, but i really don't blame her for wanting to spend so much time with him. He was so sweet to her and constantly treated her like a princess.

"Hi girls, you look amazing" he said as we approached. See what i mean.

"Thanks Liam, you don't look so bad yourself" Izzy replied, grinning.

He chuckled deeply. "I'll go get us some drinks" he told us, then turned to Molly and said "I'll be right back". He leaned in to kiss her forehead, then gracefully scooted off the chair without making Molly move.

Molly sighed and smiled happily to herself as he strode towards the kitchen.

"He's right, you guys look great" Molly complimented.

"Why thank you" Emily replied smugly, giving us a twirl.

Liam made his way back through the crowd and handed us all a glass of bucks fizz. I always thought it was for fancy celebrations but I didn't complain, just sipped on it like everyone else.

"So Sophia, have you told the others about mystery boy?" Izzy asked in sickly delight.

"What? Who?" Molly squeaked, her face one of confusion and disbelief.

"I am offended that you are so surprised" I put my hand over my heart mockingly.

"Oh shut up, you know I didn't mean it like that. Just tell us who it is"

"It's that new guy, Louis something-or-other"

"Wait, the one in philosophy?" Emily asked me inquisitively.

I nodded, and once again sipped at my glass. Emily squealed and clapped her hands together.

"Calm down, Izzy's making it seem bigger than it is. We've just run into each other a couple times is all" I shrugged.

"Hey if you're gonna carry on talking like this, I'll go find my guy friends, ya know, so we can talk about monster trucks and football" Liam said in an exaggerated deep voice, drawing our attention back to him.

"Go if you want Li, I'll probably stay here for a while" Molly said, gently putting her hand on his arm.

"Oh, ok" he replied, looking surprised that she'd taken him up on the offer. He kissed her cheek quickly then disappeared into the ever growing crowd.

"So what now?" I asked, scanning the room for people to interact with.

"How about we find some proper drinks" Izzy suggested, not impressed with the bubbly. We dumped it on a coffee table and made our way to the kitchen.

There was surely hundreds of people crammed into this place. The party was a little unorthodox and tame at the moment, which just gave me a sinking feeling. We shuffled into the kitchen and Emily opened the fridge for us to take a look. Seeing the alcohol, I was surprised that this party hadn't gotten out of hand yet. There were shelves full of the stuff; beer, cider, cheap wine, tequila, and a few exotic looking ones that I can't for the life of me name.

"Shots?" Izzy asked me excitedly, her hand waving above the syrup blue bottle.

"Maybe later" I told her, although whether or not she heard was a different matter. The music had been turned up dramatically somewhere, meaning that we had to shout over the hammering bass line to communicate. She must've understood by my fairly disgusted expression as she grabbed us each a beer and spun on her heel to head back to where we came from.

Out flute glasses were still there, although we didn't dare touch them. You never know what kind of people are at this party.

We stayed there for most of the night, sipping and talking, well, shouting. Izzy was definitely disappointed until we gave her permission to go and talk to some guys who had been looking this way.

"Someone come with me" she pleaded, suddenly aware that she was heading into unfamiliar territory alone. Despite what she may think, Izzy is actually super shy around guys and always does this weird nervous laugh.

She managed to pull Emily over with her, and Molly and I watched in good humour and their attempts of flirting. Liam emerged in the room, his neck craned to scan the room for us. He instantly spotted Molly and his face lit. He bounded over and wrapped his arms around her from behind.

She jumped at first, but then realised that it was the familiar comfort of her boyfriend, and have his arms a little squeeze. She yawned like a little girl, and leant her head back so it was pressed just below his head.

"Do you wanna go?" Liam asked, noticing her tired actions.

She smiled sleepily. "Yeah, it's kinda boring" was all she had to say before Liam began guiding her out. I stood there alone for a couple of seconds like a third wheeler, then decided to see Izzy and Emily's flirting attempts up close.

I turned to look for them, but they weren't in sight. They'd either gone somewhere else, or were fully submerged in the growing group of new guys. I felt myself yawn too, and decided to also head back. This party was pretty crap to be honest, so not up to usual standards. The one that I'd been forced to attend last week had been on a boat. Need I say more?

I gave up my search and slipped my way back to the front door and out into the street. I began walking home, but soon stopped in my tracks. There was someone following me for sure.
