Louis P.O.V

I pulled out my key to the old house that sat at least 10 miles away from any sign of civilization. Elin was close behind me tapping her foot impatiently against the concrete floor-she does that a lot. I finally jostled the lock and pushed the creaky door inwards so we could step in. It was very dark outside and the moon was full and practically glowing. There wasn't much cloud coverage so I could quickly glance at a few stars as I walked inside, mentally naming some visible constellations.

Elin pushed past me and stomped up the stairs causing small clouds of dust to spurt from the old carpet. I ignored her rude attitude, as that was a common thing too, and crept through the dimly lit corridor to the end of the hall where a crack in the door in front of me served as a peep hole into the room. We basically lived in a stereotypical, vampire horror movie house; creaky floorboards, dusty windows and a basement holding 6 unnessessary, believe it or not, coffins.

I saw my 'family' gathered around the dining room table. Now, I use the term 'family' lightly here. Clan or Coven seems too middle ages and I definitely wouldn't describe them all as friends, so we're basically just one big, grossly dysfunctional family.

Through the crack I saw that everyone, minus myself, Elin, and Harry, were inside. That left only Zayn, Thea and somehow Niall had gotten back before us. Zayn was sat in his usual chair at the top of the table, his tattoos jumping out of his bare chest and arms. He was wearing black jeans that fitted perfectly with his messy black hair. Thea, who is Niall's twin sister, was wearing a tight purple dress that only went to mid-thigh. She had heavy eye make up and was scowling at whatever was being said. Niall looked the same as earlier and was sat back in the chair with his feet resting on the table and arms stretched up behind his head. The only thing that appeared to be different was his eye colour, he must have taken his coloured contacts out as they were now the usual vivid red.

I was ready to go upstairs and sit quietly in my room for 8 hours (much to my disappointment, vampires don't need sleep like humans do) when I heard Zayn saying my name.

I pushed open the door slowly, their heads had already turned in my direction. "Yes, sir?" I responded, making sure to be extra polite after being caught spying.

"Hear anything interesting?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Uh, no sir, I was just-"

"Stop there, we can discuss this later. It seems that we have an issue on our hands."

"Sir?"

"It's Harry. He's bitten a human girl. You've have thought that at his age he'd have grown out of such impulses, but evidently not"

"I don't suppose you know the girls name?"

"Niall said Isobel, I believe" Zayn looked over to Niall who nodded in confirmation.

"Or Izzy for short, she looks around your age Lou, you may know her" he explained.

"Dark hair and blue eyes?" I asked, suddenly feeling sick.

"Yeh, that's the one"

"Oh god" I pulled out the nearest chair, taking in the information.

"As her family are not local," Zayn carried on "we won't need to relocate this time, as long as she's able to carry on with normal classes so that humans don't become suspicious"

I nodded, that being the only response I could physically give.

"I will talk to Harry and this girl when they return. Leave now" his word was final, I stood up shakily and walked back out into the corridor followed by Thea and Niall who were childishly shoving each other. Apparently immortality doesn't guarantee maturity.

"Hey lover boy, how's that girl you've been drooling over lately" Thea suddenly droned into my ear.

"Fuck off Thea, I'm not in the mood" I growled back.

"Ooh. touchy. Maybe she could come round for a bite" she said, crunching her teeth together for the desired effect. I raised my hand to hit her but Niall's grip was swiftly around my wrist, holding me back.

"For gods sake Thea, don't wind him up like that. He's still young" Niall told her. She scowled at me then budged past us to go to her room upstairs. "Sorry about her, she's just always like that I guess"

"What do you mean i'm still young?" I said, questioning his words.

"Well you've only been one of us for a few months. You're technically still a vampire child, so you're not great at self control"

"That had nothing to do with self control, that was to do with Thea being a stuck up bitch to me. Why is she not getting this little chat?"

"It's what she does, she irritates you to get a reaction, I should know. You just need to ignore her, she doesn't get out much"

"Fine" I huffed. I rolled my eyes and bounded up the stairs.

Through one of the doors I could hear Thea and Elin arguing, definitely a personality clash there-they were exactly the same. Ignoring there squabble I crossed through my room and into my en suite. I looked in the mirror at my reflection (no reflection is another stupid rumour) and I looked fairly normal. And when I say normal, I mean human. My skin was very pale, but so is most of the population of Britain. With my coloured contacts in my eyes didn't look naturally brown, but i'm sure that is much less alarming than their usual colour now. I sighed, and with my finger, took them out and placed them safely in a box. They were my identity. without them I wouldn't be accepted.

Only once had they not worked, when I was with her. Sophia. I can't explain what happened. They didn't fail me when I actually kissed her, it was when I almost kissed her. It was the want and the hunger  guess, although i'm not entirely sure what I wanted. Was it her blood? Or was it just her?

But then I actually kissed her after she shouted at me in front of Elin. God, that was so stupid, I was just trying not to laugh at her. After she rejected me, I had to feed. I took the next train to anywhere and left. Eventually Niall found me and convinced me to come back, but after seeing her again, i'm not so sure it was a good idea.

I just can't control myself around her, she drives me crazy and that scares me. If she's not careful I may just accidentally turn her.

That reminds me. Harry. He must've turned Izzy on purpose. Either that or it's just one big bloody coincidence that he's managed to turn the best friend of my - what was she?

Nothing. She's nothing. Just a silly human girl. She isn't anything to me, just a distraction. And I can't lose myself to that again. I'm a vampire and she's a human. By the time I bet bored of life, her great-great-grandchildren will be dead. I'll just forget about her, like she'll eventually forget me.

But as I turned back to my room there was a small voice in my head screaming, and I knew it was right. I didn't want her to forget me.
