Chapter 10: we're friends

      "You don't seem ok" Jacob said. I could see him looking straight at me, the early light from the sunrise hitting my face. I just looked down. 
"I really am. There's no need to worry" I kept looking at the bed expecting Jacob to leave, but instead he leaned closer and hugged me. 
"I figured you needed a hug" he said. My head was rested on his shoulder and his on mine. He had his hand on my back and on the back of my head. My hands were wrapped around his torso. I couldn't feel any safer right now.
"I did. Thanks" we sat there listening to the faint sound of my music which had been playing all night. I wanted to stay in this moment forever. Of course just as I thought that Bryce bursted through the door.
"Guys we leave in 10 minutes hurry......what's going on here?" I could feel myself blushing, thank goodness they couldn't see my face.
"Maddie just had a bad dream, that's all. We'll be right down" Bryce left without any further questions and Jacob started to leave too.
"Is this yours?" He's said pointing at my half empty black suitcase.
"Ya. I just have to pack a couple more things"
"Ok" he said as I walked to the bathroom to gather my hair brush, toothbrush, and things like that. I tied my hair in a quick bun and put on a pair of leggings and a green sweatshirt with yellow writing that said soccer. I quickly made my way back to my room, and to my surprise found Jacob waiting. "Shouldn't you be getting your bags" I said as I packed my stuff.
"I already did that"
"Wow you guys were up early" I grabbed my phone and went to pick up my bag as I saw it was gone. "Jacob where's..."he was standing at my door holding the bag.
"After you" he said gesturing to the door.
"I can carry my own bag you know"
"I know" he said waiting for me to leave. I decided it was too early and didn't make a fuss about him carrying my bag. I put on my white converse and we went outside to find Bryce and Mark.
"There's the two love birds" Bryce said staring at us.
"Whatever..," I replied getting in to the back seat. Bryce was driving, Mark was in the passenger seat and Jacob and me were in the back.

       When we got to the airport it wasn't busy at all. We were able to quickly say goodbye and get to the waiting area by our terminal.
"Flight 457 ready to board"
"That's us" Mark said. We made our way to the gate and boarded the plane. I was supposed to sit beside Bryce but he insisted that Jacob sit beside me instead. I had the window seat which I was very happy about. I put my headphones in and fell asleep listening to the plane engines.

       When I woke up my head was on Jacobs shoulder. I was about to move when I noticed him sleeping and decided not to risk waking him up. I looked at how peaceful he was. It gave me butterflies in my stomach just looking at him. This has never happened around a guy. He just makes me feel so safe and happy. I really like him.
