What Lies Ahead *Jacob Satorius*

Chapter 13: betrayed

       I put on a pair of ripped black denim shorts and a whit knit cotton tank top. I braided my hair and finally left the bathroom. To my surprise Jacob, Bryce, and Mark were all ready.
"And there she is" Bryce said clapping.
"Haha whatever" I said rolling my eyes and putting on my maroon vans.
We all headed to the elevator and down to the all you can eat buffet.we got our food and sat down. It didn't take us long to finish.  We walked outside into the fresh air and waited for a taxi. As we arrived I could see hundreds of screaming girls all waiting in a line with signs that said I love you Mark or marry me Bryce. They were all so pretty and supportive. I couldn't compare to them. Why would Jacob like me when he has such amazing fans? I was knocked out of my thoughts when Jacob tapped my shoulder signalling that it was time to get out.

       As we walked the boys stopped a couple times to sign a couple of the fans photos and take pictures with them. The screaming was so loud I could barley hear myself think. When we finally got inside we were introduced to a couple of the other people at magcon. Most of them were guys but there was this one really pretty girl with perfect blonde hair and shimmering blue eyes.
"Mark, Jacob, Bryce this is.........and finally Lexi (authors note/ not a real person FYI)" the girl introducing us said pointing at the pretty girl that I stood no chance against. Lexi was famous on Instagram and musical.ly.
"Hi Lexi" Bryce and Mark said. I looked over at Jacob who was just standing there starring. No wonder. This girl was gorgeous. We were directed into a room backstage. There were two couches in the room, and I was me, Jacob, Bryce, Mark, and of course Lexi. I sat down on one couch and Lexi sat on the other. Bryce sat next to me on his phone, and Jacob, and Mark followed Lexi to the other couch. Mark was on his phone too. Jacob was sitting next to Lexi and they were talking for a good half and hour. I couldn't help but feel jealous. I know Jacob and I aren't a thing or dating but still, I really like him.
"It's time to go on" the girl from earlier told Bryce, Jacob, Mark, and Lexi.
"Ok coming" Bryce said. He and Mark left the room, but Jacob came over to me.
"See you after the show" he said looking into my eyes and kissing me on the cheek.
"See you" I said blushing and looking down at the floor. When I looked up I saw Lexi.
"Wow. Like Jacob would ever go for a girl like you. It's obvious he's just trying to be nice to you since your Bryce's foster sister. I mean look at you" she said flipping her hair and walking out. I know I should take her seriously but I couldn't help but think she was telling the truth.

       About 2 hours went by when I heard a knock on the door, and Jacob,Bryce, Mark , and Lexi all came in.
"Hey! How was the show?" I asked.
"It was great" Mark and Bryce said. They started to tell me everything that happen but I couldn't help but notice how close Jacob and Lexi were getting. They were laughing and Lexi was leaning awfully close to Jacob.
"So we're going to go meet fans. We'll be back in like an hour or two. You. An go explore until then" Mark said.
"Ok. See you guys" I said as all four of them walked out, Jacob not even bothering to acknowledge me. After about ten minutes I got bored and decided to explore like Mark suggested. I left the room and turned left down a hallway with like 7 doors I walked for a but and decided to open up one of the mystery doors. I opened a door and as soon as I did I regretted it. Inside was a supply closet but that wasn't all that was there. Inside was Jacob and Lexi, making out right in front of me. My heart sank. Jacob turned to look at me as Lexi tried to keep kissing him.
"Maddie? I-I thought you were in the room" Jacob said stumbling over his words.
"I was" I said. "I decide to go look around. S-sorry for interrupting" I said closing the door and running back to the room. I sat in the. Ouch a couple tears streaming down my face. I couldn't help feeling betrayed. I know Jacob and I aren't cation or anything, but I thought that maybe, just maybe he really did like me back. I guess not.
