Chapter X

The smell of the red ginseng tea and egg, waffle and bacon did not fail to wake Andrea up.

Slowly, she opened her eyes and the first thing she realized was she is definitely not in Armando's mansion.

Next to her was a white, modern style lamp and a digital alarm clock flashing 10:35 AM.

10:35 AM?! And where the hell am I?!

She also realized that Manang Edna was there with a tray on her hands.

"Kumusta na ang pakiramdam mo Andeng?" Manang Edna asked, sitting on the edge of the bed and putting the tray with the stand on Andrea's lap.

"Uh, sobrang sakit ng ulo ko manang."

"O kumain ka muna ng mawala ng konti yang hangover mo. Magkakain mo, uminom ka ng paracetamol para malawala yang sakit ng ulo mo."

Andrea couldn't help but smile, "Salamat Manang. Sya nga pala, nasaan ako?"

Manang Edna giggled, "Wala ka talagang maalala? Nasa condo ka ni Paolo."

Andrea looked confused then she remembered something, Please Paolo. I don't wanna be alone. Not tonight.

She took a deep breath.

"Ah" was all she can say. "Nasaan nga pala si Paolo?"

"Nasa balcony nya. Nagka-kape."

After eating her breakfast, Andrea brushed her teeth and when she saw herself in the mirror, she was surprised how clean she looked. Although she remembered changing her clothes (God knows how), she couldn't remember taking her makeup off. She expected to have smeared eyeliner and mascara all over her face.

She found her luggage open on the ground so she decided to change her clothes to look a little more presentable.

Walking outside her room, she tried to look for Paolo and found him standing on the balcony on a white tank top, nagka-kape. Andrea smirked and went towards the balcony.

"Oh my goodness, what a beautiful view!" Andrea initiated the conversation.

Paolo smirked, "Are you feeling better?"

"Yes. Thanks to Manang Edna... And to you too!" Andrea said awkwardly, "Also about last night, I am so sorry if I did anything stupid. I have never gotten that drunk since college."

Paolo chuckled, "No worries, you just got drunk but you didn't do anything stupid. That happens."

"Also... Pao, I have a huge favor to ask." Andrea said tentatively.

Paolo raised his eyebrow, "And what is that Ms. Trinidad?"

"I was thinking that maybe..... maybe... I can stay here at your place for a while or at least until I fly back to Spain which won't be too long."

"And why should I say yes, Andrea?"

"Well, I don't really want to bother Hugo right now. He seems to be having issues that he needs to fix with... your stepmom. Alam kong maaabala ko lang sya."

Paolo was a little annoyed but not surprised, "So you think na you won't bother me?"

Andrea's eyes widened, "No, I didn't mean it that way! Well, if you don't want to, I totally understand!"

Chuckling, Paolo said, "And give me three reasons why I should let you stay with me? What if I have a visitor?"

"First of all, I can cook. Really well. I know you don't so you'll have a cook and food when you get home. Second, I can clean your house for you so Manang Edna doesn't have to come here to clean your condo for you. Third, I... I won't bother you if you have a visitor. You can do whatever you want and you can even pretend that I don't exist."
