The History of the Curse

The king and queen sat at there thrown while a grand party was going on. Everyone was laughing and having a good time. Their daughter Anastasia had just been born and was just Christened. The baby was asleep next to the queen in her bassinet. Everyone was having a great time. All the fairytale creatures and mythical creatures where here to celebrate. Everyone was laughing and having a good time. When all of a sudden, out of no where, the doors flew open and a big gush of wind came and swept everyone off of their feet. In walked a women who was old, wearing black, whose skin was green. She truly was not the fairest of them all. She walked in, more like stormed in, and marched right on up to the king. As she walked the guards tried to attack her but where turned to stone. The king stood up prepared for a fight.

"Its time to pay up." Was all she said as she walked over to the baby.

The king knew what he meant and wasn't about to let this women take his child.

The queen quickly jumped up and grabbed her baby, "I will not let you have my baby."

The old women looked angry, "A deal is a deal. You must pay up."

The queen then asked, "What deal?"

"Oh he did not tell you? Well let me see, where do I start? Well some years ago, when he was a little boy, he fell in love with this princess and was determined for her to love him in return. So he came to me and asked me what I could do. I told him it would cost him. I never told him my price. But he got his wish. And now I'm cashing in my deal." She said all smug like.

She wanted the women to explain further but didn't want to know anymore. She looked at her husband and for reassurance. He just looked down and shook his head in defeat. She would be mad at him later and they will talk about it later but now there was a bigger worry, their baby. She was not about to give up her child to that women.

"But why my child?" The queen asked about to cry.

"I am getting older and older and have no one to share my life with. So I want your child to have to keep me company."

"No. You may have anything else, but not our daughter." The king said whipping out his sword.

The witch became angry again and then this time the wind picked up again and her eyes grew red. She then said, "Since you have denied my payment I curse you and your family. By by doing this I summon the dark forces and put a curse on your precious child. On the stroke of midnight signaling her 16th birthday your child shall prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and fall into a deep sleep where she is never to wake."

And with that her and the wind vanished. Everything went back to normal and eventually everyone went home. The king summoned every professional wizard and powerful one to undo this curse but none were able to. One of the wizards was only able to change it a little bit through a loop hole. They made it so she would only sleep for 100 years and then wake up.

In case you were wondering, the queen was not mad. For what ever happened in the past it didn't matter they loved each other and that's all that mattered. But now a great evil threatened their happy home. She was more worried about her daughter. After they found this curse was going to happen they banished all spinning wheels and then threw her in the tower. And in that tower she stayed for many years.
