Chapter 2

The night of the ball arrived. Everyone was laughing and drinking and having a good time, way before the party had even started. Aro arrived, on time, with his crew. He sent them off to have fun, while he went off to find his friend. After much effort, and with no luck, Aro journeyed outside.

While walking the vast grounds he over hears a humming sound. Even though it was only humming it was very soothing and beautiful. he follows the voice and as he grew closer the humming became louder. He was knocked out of his trance when he crashed into something or someone. As he fell on the floor he was ready to destroy who ever knocked him there. But when he got up he was not prepared for what he saw. He saw a women who had fallen on her back and her hood fell down. As she sat back up she dusted her hair off. She moved her hair back behind her ears and looked up at him. It was love at first sight. He looked at her in shock by her beauty. Her eyes met the rays of the moon and that made his not beating heart start to beat.

Aro finally snaps out of it and bends over, "I'm sorry." And holds out his hand to help her.

She takes it looking into his eyes as he pulls her up. She dusts off her dress and said, "No its okay. It was my fault."

"Was that you humming?" He asked.

"Oh you heard that?" She blushed.

"Yeah, it was lovely. . ." Aro was cut off by his cousin.

"Anastasia!" Someone yelled making her jump and look away from him. She flinched back and tried to get away but the guards caught her.

"What are you doing out of your room! You're not suppose to be out!" A man yelled but then was caught of guard by another man standing there questioning what he was doing.

"Welcome dear Aro!" He said changing his mood.

"What is going on?" Aro asked about ready to pounce for making Anastasia have the look of fear in her eyes.

The king makes the guards bring the princess closer. "Say hello to my dear friend Ana." He barked at her.

"Hello." She said and looked down.

"Take her to her room and make sure she stays there." After a pause, "I will deal with you later." They do as he says.

Aro watch as they took her away. As they took her away she kept looking back behind her at Aro. She was secretly hoping that he could help her or say something, but she knows her father would not listen. She had not ever experienced love before so she is not sure what she is feeling right now for him. But she is not afraid to find out.

The king walks closer to his cousin, "Sorry you had to see that Aro. You see, it is a safety measure for her. . ." he puts his hand on his shoulder and as they start walking toward the castle he says, "Come lets rejoin the party and forget the whole thing." He then walked away after that and over to his throne. If only his friend knew that he would never be able to forget Ana.
