Chapter 6

Megan's Pov.

I couldn't stop crying, I was scared. No. Beyond scared. I gripped Kuro's arm harder. We were hiding in a crack in a broken wall. I could tell she scared as well. But do you blame us. We knew very well that we would get caught. I shivered at the thought. I slowly stopped crying, feeling a little courage building up in me......but that was soon vanquished.

I hear a bloodcurdling scream, then silence.

A deathly silence.

Kuro's face went pale. She knew it too.

She knew who the scream belong to.

It was Jasumin.

???'s Pov.

I hear a scream somewhere in the distance. My ears prick up, as I nudge my partner. She looked at and nodded. She heard it too. She then, popped her knuckles, and started to run. I popped my neck, and followed after her.

After a series of jumping off buildings and such, we finally make it. There, we see two figures. A wild dog, and a tiger. They were standing against a wall. My rabbit partner and I were a bit confused.

Then I saw them. Hunters.

I turned to see my partner already looking at me. I smirked and nodded.

"Please remain in your seats" She whispered.

"The show is about to begin"

Kuro's Pov

That's....Jasumin!

I pushed Megan to the side a bit and crawled out of the cubby hole. I dust myself off and start to walk away, without saying anything to Megan.

"Kuro! Where are you going!?!"

"To find the others."

She wiped her tears. I surprised myself, with the amount of calmness in my voice. I think I surprised Megan too, but then again it could've been my response that shocked her. I continue to walk down the path. Megan runs after me. Once she catches up she walks by my side.

"You're mad."

"Nah, I feel pretty sane."

"Did you hit your head getting into that hole, BECAUSE YOU SOUND INSANE!!"

"Keep your voice down, you'll break our cover."

"We're gonna get caught."

"We might if you keep talking."

She let out a snort. She seemed to be back to her usual self.

I sigh, as she crosses her arms, and looks away.

"Look, I want to find the others, right?"

She doesn't answer.

"And you want to find Hato, right?"

She seemed to be taken off guard by that, but still didn't answer.

"Come on~"

Nope. No answer.

"Please~"

Nothing.

"Megan~"

Silence. I grab her arm.

"Megan~" I say a bit louder.

"hmmmmm..."

"Megan!~"

"Alright! Alright! Enough!"

"Nailed it" I say with a smirk.

"Shut up"

After wandering around a bit, we grew a bit tired. Also, Oddly enough, we haven't ran into, or even seen a  hunter. We found some debris to sit on. I sigh, having no luck in find our friends. Megan sits next to me and groans. "I knew this was a bad idea." she said. I spoke up "Well hey, look on the bright side, we haven't seen any hunters." She gives a look that told me "Really". "Oh come on Megan." She looks elsewhere. "Megan~" I scoot closer. "Meg-" I was cut off by Megan shushing me.

"Mega-"

"Shut up!"

"No, you need to lis-"

I was interrupted by a very quite yell. My eyes widen. So did Megan's. It was a yell that was off in the distance. We turned our heads to the voice. The voice that continue to shout a word. A word I knew well:

"Kuro!"
