CHAPTER 1.

“Im hungry!”

My stupid older brother’s voice boomed from outside my bedroom door, yanking me from my peaceful nights rest. I threw a pillow on my head, hoping he would go away if he thought I was asleep.

“Sis get up! We’re dying out here!” My other brother joined in. Oh no, if they get any louder there going to wake up little Alex! Those dumb asses can cook for themselves.

“Yo, Liz! If you don’t get up we’re going to put all your tampons in the milk bottles…” My other, other brother added, his voice fading off mischievously. Oh god, oh dear god no. I shot out of bed -not caring that I was only dressed in an oversized tee shirt and batman boxers- in the dark, straight for the door. In my haste to pound my brothers I ran-jumped then round house kicked the door open; a bit overly pleased with the swift and over dramatic delivery. I probably just broke the door…damn.

“You little shits touch any of my things and I’ll move out!” My rage seething off me, probably visible. Dex, Liam and William scrambled away from the door giggling like school girls in their boyish boxes. They backed down the hall, as though a wild animal stood before them. Technically, I am.

“We’re up first. First come, first serve, right? Make us breakfast.” Dex’s stupid grin tipped me off even more. I imagined clawing his face off.

“What’s the time? It’s still dark.” I fold my arms across my chest, furrowing my eyebrows together in pique eyeing them with equally chilling glares. It’s the weekend, for heaven’s sakes! Can’t a girl get a break?

“It’s only 6.” Liam put a hand on his hip, like he usually does, trying to assert his dominance, though he usually ends up looking gay with his silky blonde hair and long, dark lashes fringing the palest blue eyes.

“C’mon sis, to the kitchen!” William strides bravely toward me and unfolds my stiff arm to hook his in the crook of my elbow. My head was just by his throat and I considered head butting him. He threw his fisted hand in the air and began skipping to the kitchen, looking very much like superman with his shady brown hair finger combed back from his face. He practically rag-dolled me the whole way as I lagged behind him defiantly while Dex and Liam tailed us with eager smiles. I threw a scowl over my shoulder and was returned 2 unnecessary flicks on the forehead. My mouth formed an O while they laughed at me and before I could slap their bare chests, William let go and sat at the table, Dex and Liam following suit; chuckling like idiots.

“If you fools want food, apologize.” I folded my arms tightly, flipping my unruly copper hair out of my eyes dramatically before sticking my nose in the air. Dee looked bored while Liam screwed his face up.

“Wait…Lizzy?” William flipped his brown hair in much the same manner as me and pouted. My weakness, no! His bottom lip stuck out and his eyes looked so lost, I knew the little-sister in me was laying her life at his feet. How dare he use it to make me cook! What am I, their mother?

“No- Not you Will. I’m cooking for you.” My bubbly-little-sister side was showing its ugly head and I beamed at William. His pout disappeared and he visibly relaxed, eliciting moans and groans from Dee and Liam which I choose to ignore.
